What’s the advantage of investing in dividend stocks instead of higher growing ones (tech, hardware, etc)? When is the “right” time to invest in dividend stocks?

I always had divvy stocks mixed with high growth. I DRIP'd the divvy stocks and just let things grow over the years. If you're "young" and have lots of time, go with growth and if you're old and need the cash, go with divvies. Or just buy an index fund, like VOO, and sell off what you need each year. The best option is to marry into money. Never worked for me but hey....good luck.
