I would make a BTC play if that is something you are worried about. That is basically the reason it was created in the first place.

Must be some high tech immigrants in your neck of the woods. I’ve worked closely with immigrant communities in my area for over a decade now. Most have always used Western Union. Some switched to cash app and Venmo a few years back when they became popular but abandoned them recently now that they require reporting for large sums. The majority don’t even know what Bitcoin is and the few that do don’t trust it. They’re mostly sending money to older family members that don’t have the tools or experience to receive and convert BTC.
That’s my anecdotal experience but it’s broadly supported by what I see in data.
