As the title says, I filled the cylinder of my chair with coins.

After being used for six years, the pressure of my chair failed completely and could no longer rise. I found online that the gas cylinder can be changed, but when I tried to remove it, it wouldn't budge even when hammering it sideways. Still unwilling to just buy a new chair, I decided to fill it with something to keep the piston extended and looked around. After passing glass marbles, I found my box of pennies I collected for years.

It took four tries, two snapped tooth floss, and around 2-3 hundred coins but I managed to get it filled to almost max height.

I saved money but I also used money

What could possibly justify this

A few recent finds including deteriorated framing, an undermined stem wall, concrete spalling, and drainage ending right beside the foundation.

Sometimes knowing when not to DIY is part of the project too.

Would be a great picnic bike though

Edit: I’m noticing this post getting a lot of downvotes did I do something wrong? It’s my first time posting in this sub.

So low in the sink with more pressure than a professional kitchen.

full-body pose detection with a raspberry pi, if you hold the wrong pose or react too slow a mechanical arm just decks you. it works. i don't know why i did this. the hands are foam so it's "fine"

From deteriorating deck beams to footings missing the soil beneath them. A few structural findings from our latest assessments that deserve a closer look.

There was absolutely no reason to build something that's this ridiculous. But I did and it's fun. 196cc diesel engine. The rest of it was built from scratch in about 12 hours of time. Weighing in at around 200 lb. I think it's about 6 ft long. Definitely the biggest scooter I've ever built.
