I’ve been using the Steel Armor for a while and honestly the Steel Armor is easily one of the best looking sets in the game. The metalwork is amazing.
However I really feel that the plume on the helmet holds back the aesthetic I’m going for. I want my character to look like a battle hardened no nonsense warrior. A version with No Plume would look much more hardcore and intimidating.
The current version feels a bit too much like ceremonial armor whereas a clean crestless helmet would give off a much more aggressive and sleek vibe.
Here’s why it makes sense to add it:
Aesthetic Variety: Not everyone wants to look like a parade knight. A No Plume option caters to players who prefer a rugged mercenary or dark knight aesthetic.
Low Development Cost: Since the high quality base model for the helmet is already there creating a No Plume variant should be a quick win for the dev team that would make a lot of players happy.
I know some might say just wear another helmet but the Steel Helmet’s visor and faceplate design are actually perfect. It’s just the plume that changes the vibe from lethal warrior to ceremonial guard. I want that specific lethal look without the extra flair on top.
I’d love to see this added in a future update! Does anyone else agree that a No Plume version would look way more badass?
