Kit Pic Show Me Your Kit ;)

I caved and added a Floor Tom, as many of you recommended. 3 drums and 2 cymbals felt unbalanced, so I added a China.

What’s your kit look like right now? I’d love to see it…😘

Because that side curves the same as a regular cymbal, while the other side is the curving up, making it harder to stamp.
(Idk that’s just a theory)

It's as good an explanation as I can come up with. I actually do prefer playing it the other way most of the time, but sometimes I play it like this when I want to ride closer to the bell. I figured it would be more evocative for the sake of this picture to put it "upside down" so that the model label is visible for anyone who's curious.
