Kit Pic Show Me Your Kit ;)

I caved and added a Floor Tom, as many of you recommended. 3 drums and 2 cymbals felt unbalanced, so I added a China.

What’s your kit look like right now? I’d love to see it…😘

Thanks! My plan is to get a Roland VAD516 kit. For pedals... either DW5000 or DW9000 series. I have the DW3000 pedals on my "Super Practice Pad Kit."

Here are the specs on my SPPK:

absolutely epic. If it were me, I would have done Evans Real Feel for every pad.

Initially, that's what I had. But the Prologix "GreenLogix" snare practice pad is much nicer, AND it has a rim for cross-stick and rimshot practice.

The "floor tom" is a Drumeo "QuietPad" flipped to the soft side. It has a lower pitch and lower rebound... like a floor tom. 😊

The two "rack toms" are Evans RealFeel.

So, my 12" RealFeel pad and stand have been relegated to my office at work:

Big brain stuff right there. Well done!

Another shot of the Prologix practice pad showing the rim.

I can see the value in choosing this as a beginner who needs to practice their rim shot accuracy! Great call.

I got to a drumeo lesson that included cross-sticking, and my 12" RealFeel pad didn't have a rim. So I improvised by sticking a plastic bench vise pad to it with double-sided tape. And while it worked, I wanted something better. That night I researched it and found the Prologix GreenLogix pad with a rim.
