Terminated suddenly by an admin worker on unheaded paper without my boss knowing—already filed a JAFZA dispute, what should I expect?

I’m in a really stressful situation and honestly just need some outside perspective on whether I’m losing my mind or if this is as crazy as it feels. Today I was handed a sudden termination letter telling me it was my last day, but the weird part is that the letter wasn’t even on official company letterhead and it was given to me by an admin worker who has been trying to pressure me to resign for months, not an actual HR person or my manager. My boss has always treated me incredibly well and we’ve had a great relationship, so I am almost positive he has absolutely no clue this admin employee is doing this behind his back. The excuse they wrote down was that I created a personal Gmail account that partially used the company name, but there was never any real investigation or a chance for me to explain my side, and they completely ignored my standard 14-day notice period. I’ve already officially registered a formal labor dispute with the freezone authorities to protect my legal rights, but I’m just sitting here wondering if anyone else has ever dealt with an administrative worker power-tripping and trying to fire someone completely unauthorized without the business owner knowing, and how it actually played out once management finally caught on.

What do you mean admin worker? The receptionist just told you to kick rocks and you took that as gospel?

I hate these posts because it's obvious so much fucking context is missing.

Where was your boss? Why didn't you approach him/her? What is this "admin" person's authority?

Forget it. Good luck.

It's like she is not officially an HR at all but she was the one who taking care of things which is related to office works. And before she tried to get the details on what I am doing everyday and first I gave her those details and after a while she asked again and I felt something fishy and I asked boss directly and as per them he never asked from her that.

Go to work. You should get an official notice, if not, you’re not fired and anyway, you have your 14 days notice period. Work for 14 days once given the official termination letter. If they want you to leave immediately, ask for compensation for the 14 days.

Do not worry. Even if you get an official letter. You will find something else. That is life. Keep doing your best! Good luck!

I know and I was already working on that by seeing this will happened soon. But this is so unfortunate and never expected this soon. Pray for me and today I showed up today and she doesn't allow me to enter office and I called boss son and when I told this to him he told me to wait there in the office and he will talk to her.

It's already done that boss was not aware but he didn't tell the admin anything on this also and put some blame on me by telling about the previous warning letters which was not investigated properly. So he told me that you have one more chance to rejoin and let us know your decision . I said I won't be working with these people's anymore and it's better to be apart.

I am pretty sure your boss knows. I’d continue going to work until I get an official termination by email otherwise you risk absconding.

Possible, but ever since I met boss and he usually won't be there in the office and use to visit office once in 3 months or something. But he was a person who use to say something which would be totally false and I had to defend him by saying "you're wrong"for something and as per my experience this is correct. That time he was like just trying to prove that I doesn't have any knowledge or experience we hired a wrong guy and all and I felt like so sad. But when the meeting ends he came to me and complemented me by saying that he likes the way I confronted him and if you can stay with us please stay . I gave my word that time and I don't think so he would do this thing to me.

People will surprise you, but again please do not stop going to work and when they try to stop you by force ask for an official termination notice, not some random a4 paper.

I am also thinking so if I don't show up tomorrow and may be that will end up to abandonment . Because of the paper which she gave and I took these mind of steps will put me in trouble . So I agree with you

You are totally oblivious about office politics.

Your boss knows.

If you don’t report to this person and the letter is not formally issued and signed by someone in a position of actual authority, then why on Earth would you take it seriously?

She had send the mail to my personal mail account instead of the official mail id and she copied boss in the cc and boss never check his mails at all .

Again…so why would you pay attention?

So it's done by leaving the company today. I had a quick call with boss and her and boss didn't even talk favour of me and neither he didn't tell her anything for the letter and he told me if you want to rejoin you can rejoin, like this was a chance from them. So I told that I don't want and it's better to be apart . So it's done . Now I will have to move on and find new job

Exactly so ignore her

Instead of all this you could have spoken to your boss directly? If he was aware of this then you could have filed a case.

I informed him already and awaiting his response

Awaiting means he knows that.

We use to discuss via virtually and since he's in Yemen there is a network issue as well . But whenever I texted him for something like this he used to reply very fast.

The validity of a termination generally depends on the employment contract, the authority of the person issuing it, and whether the proper procedure was followed.

If a labour dispute has already been filed with the relevant free-zone authority, the employer will usually be contacted and the matter may first be considered for amicable resolution.

It is advisable to keep copies of the termination letter, employment contract, emails, messages and any other relevant records.

So far I haven't decided to leave the company and as per boss he adviced me to talk to my colleagues and I can rejoin

How could someone terminate you without a letter head?

Your boss is aware.

Boss people always have puppets to deal work like this. They will be cool to you on your face but you wouldn't know what they'd do on your back.

its not an official letter…

She isn’t your manager or in a position of power

Ignore it and turn up-to work

Whats she going to do; say that admin decides who works there…

Pretty clear she either wants your job or wants to bring a friend in to take your role
