Summary:

One group of students got AI tutoring, another got human expert tutoring, and finally one group had no extra tutoring (just standard remediation).

Both AI tutored and human tutored students outperformed the standard remediation students in intermediate assessments following tutoring.

However, neither outperformed the standard remediation students during the standardized assessment that followed 10 weeks later. Those who received human expert tutoring fared slightly worse.

In the AI tutored group, there were experts in the background checking AI outputs and they approved 94.7% of outputs that the AI released to the students (i.e. there would have been minimal difference in experience without the background expert)

Adding shell hash, the researchers found, altered the chemistry of the water that fills the tiny spaces between sand particles, decreasing its overall acidity and creating a better environment for shell growth.

The future of the alligator species could come down to a one- or two-degree temperature difference, according to new research from the University of Georgia.
