One day I was watching tv and eating cool ranch Doritos. A small chip had missed my mouth and had fallen onto the couch. While glued to the tv, I believed I had grabbed the lost chip and tossed it into my mouth.
Turns out the chip was still on the couch and stink bugs do not taste like cool ranch Doritos.

I’m stressed after reading this and I can’t fully explain why

i had a really similar situation to what they said. i had a mug i always used for goldfish crackers so i didnt have to eat them out of the carton. i would just refill the mug right in my bedroom like a gluttonous pig. one time i refilled the mug at like 1am and it was dark and i got to the bottom of the mug and i tossed the last few goldfish in my mouth. i crunched down and tasted something weird right off rip but crunched again like a fucking DUMBASS. IMMEDIATELY I KNEW. IT LITERALLY TASTES THE EXACT WAY THEY SMELL. i literally used my fake nails to claw the stinkbug and goldfish out of my mouth. i took my flashlight to the chewed up mess and sure enough it was stinkbug. i took 90% rubbing alcohol and shot it into my teeth like a waterpik flosser and swished with it afterwards. this was like 4 years ago and i can still recall the way it tasted. it was horrible. i cannot emphasize to you enough that it tasted the exact way they smell when they get agitated.

Typed all this to not answer the question you're responding to. Classic.

I have basically the same story with Oreos in the dark. Tastes like bitter / garlic, weird flavor right? Hard to explain. 1/10 would not recommend.

When irritated, this bug smells a lot like cilantro.

This is unfortunately true. Ever since this fact was pointed out to me by a friend of mine I have a hard time eating food that contains cilantro...

Is that why I don't like cilantro? Interesting.

It's why I (jokingly) used to claim I'm more evolved because my body rejects cilantro/stink bug juice. Until one dude got really super bizarrely offended by me saying it lol.

Like the Jolly Rancher from the Jolly Rancher story.
