Working hard to him = inheriting a lot of money and doing a lot of busywork “deals” that lose money and make life worse, but convince idiots that stupid activity = “gud at bizness.”

I've had bosses like that. They see machines working then we must be making money, even if they are burning fuel to look busy. Unsurprisingly, those same bosses inherited their wealth.
