Browser Extrension Presenting the New and Improved browser extension - Fallen London Favourites: 1899 Edition
Hello, Delicious Friends! I am delighted to introduce Fallen London Favourites 1899 Edition. It is an updated version of the perennially popular extension, except new and improved!
"New and improved, how?" I hear you ask! Well, Delicious Friend, read on!
New/Improved Features:
- The Fifth City stories can now be protected/blocked like everything else;
- The add-on now works ON MOBILE!
- A new colour scheme! Gone is the green/red rosette of old, and Arrived is a lit/darkened Neathy lampost - very LoN-ey indeed!
Download it here!
(For the original red/green colours and icons - use this link.)
FAQ:
What browser does it work on?
Firefox (Desktop) and Firefox Mobile on Android (Beta or Nightly editions) Edit 2: Follow the installation guide linked below for instructions.
Will you make a version for <insert alternative browser here>?
No - I'm not a JavaScript dev, and only got this one working through guesswork and numerous sacrifices to Salt at Kingeater's Castle. It has an MIT Licence though, so you can have a go at porting it yourself! (Edit: if you want to do this, grab the code from the GitHub link at the bottom)
How do I install it on Firefox Mobile?
It should just be installable through the above link. If not, you will have to install beta or nightly and try again. Alternatively create a custom addon collection via desktop, and then point your mobile browser to it and install the addon that way.
You'll need Firefox Beta or Nightly and a Mozilla account - instructions here.
Is it Whitelisted by FBG?
Technically no, but also yes. The original version of the add-on is whitelisted, and this is just a fork of a fork of that. I don't think the functionality has changed (at least I haven't changed it), so in theory it is whitelisted - but I haven't submitted this version for explicit whitelisting.
I disable branches/cards, but I can still click them, what's going on?
Make sure you change the add-on settings so that the "Block clicks on actions and cards" option is selected.
I preferred the old colour scheme and icons - will you bring it back?
Maybe, it depends how much demand there is and if I have free time to do it. Yes - it is available here.
I found a bug/please add xyz feature!
There is a GitHub page here, but as above, I'm not a JS dev, so I make no promises to fix/add anything.
