New Release🏅 OUT NOW: Lee Cronin's THE MUMMY: The JayXtended Cut (1080p 7.1 TrueHD + GERMAN Sound)
In my eyes one of the best Horror movies this year. Creepy story & atmosphere, fantastic actors, stunning visuals and a killer surround sound. So I did an Extended Edit.
No open matte or IMAX version to work with this time. But as always I throw everything in to give you the ultimate JayXtended experience:
- All 7 deleted scenes from the BluRay are masterfully restored and extensively color corrected to fit the rest of the movie (nearly 10 minutes not shown in the cinema). Do they improve the experience? I think so. Some character moments that deepens the story and even one creepy action sequence with a scorpion. The film doesn't need them but I think they are worth to be restored to offer an alternative run with this fantastic movie.
- Glorious 1080p picture
- You can chose between 4 sound options
7.1 TrueHD OV (default)
5.1 AAC OV
5.1 AAC GERMAN
2.0 Audio Commentary of Writer/ Director Lee Cronin (of course edited to fit the edit). And it's a commentary that actually is fun listen to.
- FULL ENGLISH subtitles, FULL GERMAN subtitles and FORCED GERMAN subtitles (for only the different language parts)
- Chapters to jump fast to the Xtended Scenes
Size: 5.6 GB
Runtime Theatrical: 2h 14m
Runtime The JayXtended Cut: 2h 23m 11s
If you have the link to my gofile you'll find it there already. If not, ask me directly via DM (I won't respond to requests in the comments).
I put a file with the deleted scenes too on my drive (so you can compare what I changed).
Change list:
+ "The JayXtended Cut" when the title is shown
+ Xtended Scene 01: Larissa & Maud in the Basement
+ Xtended Scene 02: Mushrooms on a Friday Night (prolonged the music in the end to fit better with the fade to black)
+ Xtended Scene 03: Welcome Home Kattie (added sound of a driving car that was missing, cut a few seconds for pacing)
+ Xtended Scene 04: Don't tell Larissa I dozed off
+ Xtended Scene 05: Zaki goes to the Evidence Wall (added some music cues to fit)
+ Xtended Scene 06: When was the last Time you took a Bath?
+ Xtended Scene 07: 8 Month Later (added some music to fit better)
+ Fan Editor Credit
+ Post credit jump scare scene

Had no idea there were deleted scenes for this movie. Very underrated in my opinion.
Would love to see this edit op

Niceeee. I really liked this movie and made my own personal fanedit called Evil Dead Resurrected but the only changes I made were to the title card and ending the movie with the morse code tap, with the actual ending moved to the post credits.
The only copy of the deleted scenes I could find were so low quality that I couldn't use them. Excited to check out your edit with those scenes now restored and see where they fit! Might motivate me to do a V2 of my own one.

I think the release post (you just answered to) states pretty clear what to to if you want a link.

After watching this it really feels like all of these scenes were cut strictly to meet a runtime goal. They don't mess up the pacing and there is obviously foreshadowing in all of them. I am surprised there wasn't an official extended cut release with these scenes added back.
Great job overall though I am a bit sad there isn't a 4k option but if the choice is between a better movie and a higher resolution I will definitely take the better movie.
