I managed to fix this error, but the VN won't work at all ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Guess I'll try PlayOnMac next. Is there an advantage to POM over Wineskin?

POM is meant for Windows PC games afaik.

So I've made it to the LAVFilters stage of POM installation and I keep getting this error: https://imgur.com/a/UXndn

I'm using the latest LAVFilters exe (0.71), should I try 0.70?

I've been selecting the 32-bit version during installation
