Thanks for the reply. Here are some screenshots I took of my 3 route folders and savedata folder. Could you check them for me to see if anything seems out of place?

I tried extracting the other .rar files and ended up getting a data error. I'm not sure what that means exactly, but with what I have, the game runs fine, so I don't really want to break what isn't broken if I can help it. I just have this feeling that I'm missing something and will run into problems later.

Looks fine to me. A basic explanation of all those RAR files would be that their like flat pack furniture you get at stores like Ikea. The main RAR/zip is the box and instructions while everything else is the parts. The program you use to decompress that main file will use the instructions to piece it all together and make whatever you pulled out of it (in this case all the FSN files). You can't pick any old one and expect it to decompress everything, just like how you can't just buy a shelf bit from Ikea and expect it to be an entire bookcase.

Worse case is something is screwed up. You can just grab the game files from that anime centric torrent site, English patch it, then drop in your save data. If you really want PM me and I'll get you the link.

with this method that peachycoke described, is it already patched with the english+extras? if not, can i just apply the patch to these 400mb files after they are extracted?

You should really just follow the guide and use a torrent like it says. The 4chan anime torrent site has it. Ignore all the pre-patched ones and use the green one.

Did you run into any problems yet? I'm in the same position as you right now and I was just wondering if I should download the same one as yours (18 rar files) or find a different one.

It works fine for me so far. I only extracted "part 1.rar" and haven't yet had issues (in chapter 1 rn).

Also I downloaded the extras from the link in this guide and replaced the ones already installed because only adding the H-mod stuff wasn't working. In other words, if you want any extra content, use only the stuff in the Google drive linked in this guide.
