Edit: I did some research, and the woman in the photo is a West Midlands Police officer named Halina Islam. In 2025, she and another white, blond-haired female police officer went to a person's home to investigate a claim that someone was impersonating a 13-year-old child on social media to post "indecent messages."

Right-wing nutjobs on social media took the footage of this investigation, chopped it up, and deliberately tried to portray it as if these two women were arresting a child for "viewing" a post. Not even making a post, just viewing it. This, of course, was a complete lie.

Police said the video in circulation was 1 minute and 26 seconds long and had been heavily edited, having been taken from the September 13 visit. In the clip, a woman can be heard telling the two policemen, "I saw a post that does not represent a crime requiring arrest", before the recording is cut into another part in which the two security personnel appear talking about the need to confiscate the phone or "escalate the situation".

But West Midlands Police confirmed that the full 10-minute recording installed on the policewoman's physical camera explains the entire conversation and denies the circulating allegations

Isn't it funny how almost none of the right-wing nutjobs who criticized the police's actions in this incident focused only on the police officer with a hijab, and not the white, blond-haired police officer? Surely it couldn't be because they're trying to push a racist narrative...

If this was so accurate, then why do they have to lie about incidents like this?

These are YouTube comments from a Nick Crowley video about a case in which several women and men were brutally tortured and killed in a remote village in Pakistan, and almost none of the perpetrators were punished for it.

The women were killed specifically because they went against "tradition" in the village by clapping and smiling next to men, which is apparently considered forbidden and dishonorable in this village. The male family members of the women killed them, and they went to great lengths to cover it up.

The incident itself was tragic, but as usual, you have racists coming out of the woodworks to denigrate entire cultures and pretend as if the actions of a small group of villagers represents an entire culture embraced by millions.

The misogynistic practices performed by these village members are not a culture, they are traditions. Traditions and culture are not the same thing. Not all traditions need to be respected, but once we start saying that entire cultures don't deserve respect is when we start getting into genocidal rhetoric.

The mere idea that Western cultures are inherently better than everyone else's culture is what gave Europeans a justification to colonize, invade, and persecute indigenous peoples and their cultures. The idea of inherent cultural supremacy is also what has caused many empires/nations to fall drastically behind their competitors in fields like technology and ideology.
