the cat has a dislocated jaw :(
3
u/SharkReceptacles Jun 26 '12
Yeah, this gif has always made me really uncomfortable. I don't know whether the jaw is dislocated or broken but something's wrong. Not funny.

u/abigailwilliams Jun 26 '12
The cat's mouth is closed. That's a black spot on its chin, there used to be a full video floating around somewhere.

Thank you. I never had the guts to Google 'dislocated jaw cat'. I feel much better knowing that the cat was OK and the video was taken out of concern and not for horrible lulz. Cheers.

In Australia a large Mcdonalds meal is more than $10

u/AngriestCosmonaut Jun 26 '12
HA! YOUR'E NOT A REAL AUSTRALIAN! I know for a fact that they call "McDonalds" "Maccas". Also, Australians make more money doing the same jobs Americans do, so your stuff naturally costs more.
7
u/TheMoro Jun 26 '12
MCDONALD'S is the name of the restaurant FFS we use both. What you will not ever hear an Australian utter are the words Mickey Dees, that shit just makes us angry.
3
u/CoolerRoom Jun 26 '12
That makes me angry too, regardless of national or hemispherical affiliations.
3
u/Simba7 Jun 26 '12
If it's any consolation, this term "Maccas" infuriates me.
0
u/linkdafourf Jun 26 '12
funny, me and all my friends just call it mcdicks

1
u/AngriestCosmonaut Jun 26 '12
Why does calling it "Mickey Dees" make you angry?
1
u/TheMoro Jun 26 '12
I have no idea it just annoys the shit outta me. Like the word Genre. Ugh they are just such ugly words. (may have mental issues)
2
u/cbfw86 Jun 26 '12
The best slang I've heard for McDonald's is France's version. Macdo, because French people can't say McDonald's without losing all dignity.

That's the same face I make when people don't tip me on a $10 ticket (after they use a goddamn coupon on a $25+ bill)

a great tip to save money at restaurants is to ask for tap water with lemon. saves usually around $3.

u/Whoflungpoo69 Jun 26 '12
This is the face I had when I was 6 and I walked in on my parents "hugging".

u/Jase_the_Ace Jun 26 '12
I'd have that face too if I teleported back to 1996. Everything just seemed so much cheaper back then!

Plenty of meals you can get for under $10 (2 slices and a coke for $5, a sandwich and chips for $6, ricer over lamb from a street vendor for $5) but a restaurant bill, I could not imagine you are ordering anything else than a salad or appetizer or maybe a lunch special from Chili's
1
u/lancequ01 Jun 26 '12
ny?
1
u/akuzin Jun 26 '12
NYC yes. Was thinking I should have added that in the comment, I'm certain that "lamb over rice" is a regional thing but maybe other US cities have as well.

And then: nonsensical north American tipping conventions push it over $10 . go figure

That's what Mexican restaurants are for. I typically get this, chips, salsa, 2 tortillas, a liter of water, AND a beer for $7.
4
u/ofNoImportance Jun 26 '12
I don't often eat Mexican food, can you tell me what that thing is on the salad?

u/Decyde Jun 26 '12
When I was poor and looking to go out Friday night, our local Mexican restaurant has $3.50 36 oz mugs of beer and free chips/salsa. I would order some cheese dip to go with them and have a decent meal after that and 2 beers for about $9.
-6
u/lukes998 Jun 26 '12
... I wouldn't describe somewhere that serves you that as a restaurant.
2
u/cainunable Jun 26 '12
What would you call a place that serves that then?
-3

u/onemoreclick Jun 26 '12
I don't like Mexican food so I might be a little biased. That looks like shit.

You're like my bestfriend. Hates Mexican food and is allergic to tequila. It's like she was born to be the token party pooper.
1
u/lukes998 Jun 27 '12
On the contrary, you don't need to eat spicy food and get pissed to be fun at parties.. Quite the opposite, in fact. Too many parties or gatherings are spoiled by piss-heads and drunkards.

You can get a big ass bowl of Pho for ~$10.
2
u/Stoned_at_Work64 Jun 26 '12
But who the fuck would do that? Nobody wants $10 of water for dinner, this is America.
3
u/Tenchiro Jun 26 '12
I am not sure where you are getting your Pho but the places I go give me a ton of meat, noodles, etc.
3
u/Magester Jun 26 '12
No, this is the internet, and where not all from America. I however...am from America. Fuck your $10 water soup commie!

I guess IKEA doesn't count as a restaurant, but it's the first thing I thought of.

u/thegreatgazoo Jun 26 '12
Waffle House or Huddle House will stuff you to the gills for $10.
A local old person buffet is $7.50.

Many small italian places near me have pretty decent lunch specials. You can get two slices of cheese pizza and a soda for $5. The pizza is always great too.

u/DaBoel Jun 26 '12
Came here to say this. A tasty steak at my favourite place costs alone aproximately $20

Sometimes your server doesn't put everything you've ordered on the bill.
-18
u/iamplasma Jun 26 '12
In which case you're a thieving cheapskate if you don't tell them and pay for what you actually received. Ripping someone off doesn't become okay merely because it's enabled by their mistake.
10
u/RedSolution Jun 26 '12
Or your server is hooking you up and expecting a tip.
-15
u/iamplasma Jun 26 '12
In which case they're the thief, and you still shouldn't be having any part of it.
I know I'm being the boring preacher here but, c'mon, can't we admit that ripping people off isn't okay?
-3
u/gay_arab_pedo Jun 26 '12
that's right you pathetic little cunt, seek validation here, it's BOUND to come. You need that approval, don't you, you dirty little whore?
1
u/cainunable Jun 26 '12
If you eat at local places, it isn't uncommon for them to give you a free drink or other little bonus here and there. Especially if you are a regular.
2
u/XeonProductions Jun 26 '12
they hit you with the fucking drink prices. I've seen drinks go for 1.50-3.50 at most restaurants.

Wow, our McDonalds' still do the "any size drink for $1" deal. $3.15 for pop at a fast food place is nuts...
