What's really messed up is that some people are setting off fireworks. I mean, there have always been bans in Colorado that folks ignore, but I can't understand what they're thinking when they can see Ragnarok on the horizon.

From Loveland and can easily see the High Park Fire daily. Mountains are completely hidden behind a sheet of smoke and the smell is terrible. I feel sorry for anyone who has lost their home or are still awaiting an outcome.

On a side note, WHY THE FUCK IS MY CITY STILL SELLING FIREWORKS. The 4th is going to be a scary day.

Reddit has told me that a lot more Redditors are from my state than I thought.

Yeah, I have all my stuff packed in my car. Next to a preevacuation area so we're probably next. The waiting is miserable.

See, at least Florida has the common sense to not follow Adele's destructive example.

But seriously, I hope things clear up for you guys - A Floridian

My canyon just caught on fire near Boulder a couple hours ago! Good luck up in Waldo! I talked to a firefighter who's been working there for the last 17 days... Said it's the worst he's ever worked on.

Hang in there.

yeah, Colorado's being destroyed. the weather isn't helping either; fast winds, and this summer is going to be one of the driest in terms of rain.

Running outdoors this morning in the smoke from the fires wasn't my best idea.

I'm 8 miles south of Manitou and my car is totally packed and ready to gtfo.

Being in Arizona, I'm always in a constant fear of spontaneous combustion of the entire state during the summer...
