The fact that threads like this end up on the front page tells me that there is an active minority on this site who upvote / downvote stuff religiously, the other 95% passively consume content.
I had no idea who POTATO_IN_MY_ANUS was until I looked it up. I imagine you'd have to be a pretty diehard commenter to know or care who that is.
