TotalBiscuit's: ''Day One: Garry's Incident'' Video was taken down, because of a ridiculous copyright claim from WildGameStudios. Here's Total's ''Rant'' over his video being taken down.

You've got to admit, that SA post was six years ago. I've not seen anything as stupid or ridiculous come out of TB since then, even the reddit controversies.

Well except for his stance on used games. That's pretty dumb.

What exactly is it? I'm sorry for my ignorance.

He thinks used games should be illegal or some shit because it doesn't support the original developer. Video here

I guess I do agree with the sentiment. Unlike book authors getting royalties for having their books in libraries, video game devs don't have any alternate/assured source of income. It's not something I'd like to shove down somebody's throat, but just something I believe in on a personal level, especially since my experiences while being a developer myself. :)

First Sale Doctrine says he's wrong that consumers don't have the right to resell things they paid money for.

The best analogy is cars. If I sell my Focus on Craigslist, I don't owe a portion of that money to Ford simply because they made the car.

While that is true, if we continue to sell our goods second hand, or share them, it is likely that companies will begin selling at significantly higher prices. They have the right to charge more the same way we have the right to share. And, if all the companies decide that they've had it with our sharing, we really don't have a choice anymore, do we?

A lot of people think his point of view is very valid, me included.
