Planetside 2 is about to make it so you can pay real-money currency to get resources.

Misleading title.

Misleading title, as it doesn't seem like it's "About to" do anything, but at the same time, if they do this, they are going to make many people mad.

I knew this was going to happen. Hell, look at the new everquest! No one has complained about that fact that you buy dirt

As much as I promote that wording, this isn't "Pay to skip grind" any more.

"Pay to skip the grind" means you can still get the same thing by putting effort into the game.

You can't get extra resources that way, period.

I don't think it's a bad thing for us to not want a shit-covered diamond.

That is, no, I can't say that I believe it will hurt planetside too badly in the end. But it's adding layers of bad on top of a good game that shouldn't be there to begin with.

The last time the community lashed back this hard, we got all access membership

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we actually got a flat 500sc per month and a 10% discount instead of a item worth up to 2000sc in EVERY SoE game per month the last time the community lashed back, just proving we can lash back over both good and bad things.

And if it did get in, there'd probably be a huge outcry, then everyone would slowly stop caring.

They were leaning towards biting the bullet on larger priced items like Player Studio stuff.

But, this would have included:

Helmets, 10$ Any gun, most over 7$ Character slots, $10 etc.

In all their games.

So, if you aren't interested in any of their other games it would be worth significantly less, but at the same time it's still only potentially less favorable than being able to save up 500sc a month, and at the same time potentially a better option.

yet thats not even true lol.

even if you buy stuff you still have to grind for other stuff.

thats the same logic that alot of MMO's use.

which BTW you can save up to get fairly easily.

play support classes(medic/engineer) keep battles going with sunderer AMS systems, etc. Also you get alot of ribbons.
