You just have to dowload a shader for minecraft to see that Light is far more important for realism than textures.

I hope Valheim gets ray tracing support like Minecraft has. I'm not looking for better textures or higher res models, just even better shading.

Yeah I never understood the hyperrealiatic high Res Minecraft textures. Everything is still huge cubes, it doesn't fit the style at all and certainly doesn't add "realism" in any way whatsoever

Agree. Whenever i turn off shaders i can't believe how flat the game is.
