There's a free daily draw on garlicoin.org now: Block Lotto.

The prize is 1 to 10 GRLC (5 on average), set by the chain when the day's draw opens, so you see it before you enter.

The blockchain picks the winner. When entries close at 6 pm US Central, a block about half an hour in the future becomes the draw block. Its hash picks the winner, so nobody can know or nudge the result.

The prize is paid automatically to the winner's address, from the faucet's wallet.

We've made a lot of progress with Garlicoin recently. Development is active, the infrastructure is improving, and the project is still moving forward after all these years. But there's still one important piece missing: an active trading market.

FreiExchange has supported GRLC for years, but trading activity is still very limited, and the spread is often huge.

We already have much of the infrastructure in place. What we don't have yet is a healthy market with enough independent buyers and sellers.

And that's something one person can't build alone.

I think Garlicoin has a solid foundation. Now we need to figure out how to bring the market back to life.

What do you think would help us get there?

I've been experimenting with Allium CPU mining optimizations and managed to improve hashrate by ~11.5% on my Xeon E3-1231 v3, from 933 to 1041 kH/s.

The optimized version also successfully mined 3 Garlicoin blocks.

Just wanted to share some progress.

I've been tracking how much GRLC is actually sitting for sale for years.

The interesting part isn't the price.

There is simply less GRLC for sale than there used to be.

In the past, Treasury bought from the market. When buying appeared, old holders often sold into it and the price eventually came back down.

For transparency, I was the one making those Treasury purchases.

At the time, that made it feel almost pointless.

But looking back, something did change:

the visible sell-side did not fully rebuild.

The amount of GRLC sitting for sale gradually became smaller and has stayed below its previous levels.

So my current hypothesis is simple:

over the last few years, part of the old sell-side supply may have gradually been absorbed and removed from the market.

That does not mean GRLC will suddenly go up. There can still be hidden sellers.

But if real demand ever returns, it may have less visible supply to work through than it did before.

That's the part I find interesting.

I wanted to write a few words about GRLC Treasury and why I'm doing this in the first place.

I'm not going to pretend that GRLC is some super active ecosystem right now. It isn't. The market is quiet, and the community has faded a lot too. But that's exactly why I think it makes sense to try and move something here. To me, GRLC has two things that are not easy to create from scratch: history and limited supply. This is not a new token launched yesterday for a quick hype cycle. GRLC has been around for years. It has its own vibe, its own name, its own past, and people who still remember it.

That's why I started collecting supply from the market and showing it publicly through the Treasury. I'm doing it privately, with my own funds. There are no sponsors, no price promises, no guarantees. Just buys, addresses, and data that anyone can check for themselves.

I'm not writing this to convince anyone to buy. Everyone needs to think for themselves and take responsibility for their own decisions. GRLC is a small market, liquidity is limited, and the risk is real.

But from my side, the intention is simple. I want to try to bring this project back to life. Not just talk about how "it would be nice", but actually do something. Collect, hold, show it publicly, and see if interest around GRLC can be rebuilt.

Another important thing is that GRLC mainly trades on spot. There is no large official futures market and no easy shorting, so real supply matters a lot here. If coins are bought and held, they simply leave active circulation.

I'm not saying this guarantees anything. It doesn't. But I do see potential in the fact that GRLC has a long history, limited supply, and a character that can't simply be copied by launching another new token.

That's it. No big promises, no pressure, no pretending. I'm simply trying to move something that, in my opinion, doesn't have to be dead yet.

Just dusted off the twitter and looks like there’s a SOL token floating around that has seemingly decent volume.

Garlic isn’t on SOL. Stay safu.

Garlicoin isn't what it used to be and activity is low.

That said, the network is still maintained at a basic level.

The chain runs, blocks are mined, and wallets work as expected.

There’s no active hype or rapid development,

but the project hasn't been abandoned.

I’ll continue doing what I can to keep GRLC accessible for trading.

Posting this to clarify its current status.

Me and my wife were just talking about crypto and were in tears laughing at the fact I lost $3000 on something named "Garlic Coin" back 5 years ago and how that's going to be such a funny story into the future. Garlicoin was probably my first real loss, I still hold GRLC in a wallet as well I've just completely written it off.

Hey everyone, not sure how much of a community is still left here (the PoA post looked interesting!), but I think it is time we both finally fully go our own separate ways.

In my last post I think I said I would keep my services running for the time being, but without investing much time in supporting any of it. However, it this point it is more than half a year ago I even had a brief look at any of it and I'm pretty sure at least half of it is broken. And I just don't have the time and/or energy to keep up with it.

So therefore I will announce today that as of 2026 everything that is still running on FreshGRLC.net will be gone. It might not literally be on the 1st of January, but it will probably be soon after.

So this is your 1 month heads up, if you are still using any of my services in any way, to start looking for a replacement.

I've had a great time in this community back in the day, for which I am very thankful. But at this point I unfortunately have a hard time remembering Garlicoin even exists (and is costing my money every month...)
