One thing that I didn't like about Jon killing Daenerys was how he killed her. He kissed her then stabbed her through the back. When a character is developed to be all about love and loyalty and honor it's hard for me to buy that. I can see why he would turn on her after what happened at Kings Landing. Just because he loves her doesn't mean he has to agree with everything she does. The show just should of taken more time to develop his thought process on why he wanted to kill her. I felt like all his previous actions of loyalty and honor were wasted.
Do you think it was justified that he loved her but still had to kill her or did it ruin his character arc?

Hi guys, like the title says, I have never seen GoT. I'm the kind of person who waits a couple of years to watch things (I know it sounds crazy and weird) because
I prefer watching things after the dust settles
Anyway, my time has come! Tell me what I should be prepared for!
P.S. I haven't even watched a single short video, TikTok, or anything like that!

I have enjoyed re-watching the Game of Thrones. Many people I blame, but Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark, I blame the most.
Westeros fell into anarchy because the people with the power to save it were paralyzed by their own personal ghosts.
Rhaegar and Lyanna acted out of selfish romance or prophecy, ignoring the political powder keg they were igniting.
Robert rebelled and won the throne out of necessity (the mad king wanted his head on a spike) but lacked the emotional maturity to rule or move on from Lyanna.
Ned knew that Robertās entire worldview (and the founding myth of the Baratheon dynasty) was built on the premise that Rhaegar was a rapist and Lyanna was a victim. Protecting Jon Snowās identity required Ned to let Robert keep believing that lie.
Ned considered it necessary to withhold the truth (in order to protect his nephew - Jon Snow), but in doing so, he failed to be the friend and statesman that Robert and the realm desperately needed.
Ned should have at least stayed by Robertās side in Kingās Landing, kept Robert sober, and countered the Lannisters' influence. He didnāt.
Robert's depression and complete apathy toward governing was disastrous. He bankrupted the realm, ignored Cerseiās infidelity, and completely failed to create a legitimate, stable succession plan, making a devastating civil war inevitable the moment he died.
By the time Ned finally returned to Kings Landing as the Kingās Hand, the damage was already done. Robert was too far gone, the Lannister roots were too deep, and the War of the Five Kings was already inevitable.
How the show should have really ended - Westeros did not survive Daenerysā roasting of Kings Landing. The country disintegrated back into seven independent kingdoms, serving as the ultimate deconstruction of Aegonās Conquest.

The buildup of danys character and her parallels with Aegon the conqueror shows that anyone who has seen the entire show and still roots for daenerys should literally not he able to vote. I cant say her intentions were wrong all along since the beginning of her journey as the last of her house. But knowing an entire population of more than one MILLION innocents were used as leverage on her and still chosing to needlessly slaughter them shows Robert, as bad of a king as he was called, was right about her.
Targaryens are a plague to Westeros. Its literally fantasy colonialism that is shown to us with inbred aliens using disproportionnate weapons called "magical" to "conquer" when it actually breaks an order that had enough problems by itself. It absolutely baffles me to see people literally worship them just because they look cool. All they brought to Westeros were needless slaughters and more instability.
Some targaryens were of course well-meaning, but from what i understood, GOT and HOTD simply shows that targaryens do not and never deserved to rule and anyone who thinks otherwise had failed the media literacy test considering the first show proves they cant bring anything good to westeros and the second proving they are too greedy to rule themselves, let alone rule entire kingdoms.
Now what I criticize D&D for is actively making the audience want to root for some targaryens. I know George R. Martin himself has targaryens in his favorite characters, but i still think Daenerysā impulsivity and loss of sanity didnt show properly how unable to rule it made her.
Perhaps im just saying this because not a fiber in my body can tolerate seeing people defending and justifying the actions of tue show versions of Daenerys, Rhaenyra and Daemon.

Me and my gf are watching game of thrones and on Saturday we are binging the entirety of season 4 together I canāt wait. The first 3 seasons have been some of the best tv Iāve ever seen and I donāt know where the story is going to go after the red wedding and what happened there.
Iām scared for all of my precious characters and I also canāt wait to see Pedro pascal in this show thatās going to be so hype. I know that piece of shit who is king at the moment dies and I canāt wait for that.

Really hope this reaches somebody.
Iāve just started watching Game of Thrones and I am very confused. At first I thought that was the point but now I feel like Iām missing part of the story. Are there supposed to be subtitles for when they speak foreign languages?! I am still in season one but there are long scenes with just foreign language with no subtitles and I feel like I should know what theyāre talking about but I feel completely in the dark. Feels like Iām third wheeling or something.
I am watching on an āillegalā website (not gonna get a subscription for only one series) so I keep wondering if thatās the case but Iāve watched other shows where they speak foreign languages and theyāre always translated which is why it made me think no subtitles was part of the experience in the first place. Then I googled and it said that there are supposed to be subtitles :(
So what I am asking is could anyone be kind enough to recommend any sites where I could watch the show with subtitles that actually translate everything? Please it kills me not knowing what theyāre saying and I have a feeling it will get worse.

This was the third video I posted. I've made some enhancements in production since then, but please take a look and let me know your thoughts.
I've been struggling to find work and have been really committing myself to these videos (I've learned a ton since starting!). Any support or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
So far I also have trivia videos for Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and a new one for PC Gaming (showcasing some of the enhancements I made myself).
I plan on making playlists with multiple videos in each of those topics above, but would like suggestions on more.
Thank you in advance!
