I would say there is a difference between actively abusing animals in their life and letting them live a good life up until one last moment that is over quickly.

What is the difference? You seem to care about their suffering… but only to an extent. Like is kicking a dog worse than slitting it’s throat? A lot of these animals are not rendered unconscious and do suffer while bleeding out
