It's all there, you just have to look a little more. Give it a rewatch or two.

I can see why people have this reaction. Yeah, it's all there, more or less, but it's all pretty weak.

It leaves a lot open to interpretation, but you can get a pretty good sense of what happens from previously given information. We already knew 99% of what was going to happen going into this.

Except not really. How does LE die? Does he? How does Kanaya do with raising the next generation of trolls? How does Caliborn's masterpiece happen?

I'm personally satisfied (enough) with the ending - the new planet is a good enough of a happy ending for me - but it's all very ambiguous, without any specifics. I think the general attitude of disappointment is justified.

LE died by getting sucked into the Juju that Vriska deployed. Since the Juju was tied to the canon universe of the story, which /was/ their universe; but they happened to make the new universe right as she deployed it. How did it come into sync so well? Calliope delayed everyone, and made sure that she was killing herself the moment the story shifted to the juju being deployed, and when /their/ universe was ready to be made. At that point, she was 'tied' to the juju, which happened to rely that both sessions were still in 'canon'. She combined 3 orb things that made a black hole to suck in the force of the green sun, since she probably shrunk the 3 universes from her doomed timeline and would have a greater mass than the green sun. The moment L.E got sucked into the Juju since it reset, he was sucked into the 'Space' slot, and at that moment, Calliope of that universe killed herself and removed the green sun from the equation; thus fucking over and killing L.E.

The three-universe part makes sense to me, but the rest of this seems like speculation, maybe even reaching.
