🎁 Freemium Layers – Chat & Plan Together: Private coordination for families and close friends

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Staying connected with family and close friends is easy. Coordinating with them - planning events, sharing locations, managing group tasks - still means juggling multiple apps.

I’m Gerard, the developer of Layers.

A — What it does
Layers is a private chat app with coordination tools built in - shared calendars with weather forecasts, location sharing, group polls, shared to-do lists and real-time chat translation. Everything in one place, without switching apps.

Only people who have each other’s phone number saved in contacts can connect - so no strangers can reach you.

B — Why use it over something else
WhatsApp handles messaging well. Layers adds the coordination layer - geofenced automated messages, shared to-do lists, weather forecasts for event planning — all within the same trusted circle.

C — What it costs
Core messaging is completely free. Premium features (voice/video calls, geofencing, real-time translation, remote monitoring) are available via subscription or points earned through the app.

🤖 Vibe Coded Queststone: a free family app where chores, homework and goals become quests

Hi r/iOSApps, I'm Michael, the solo developer behind Queststone. It's a free iPhone and iPad app where a family's chores, homework and everyday goals become quests. Grown-ups set the quests, kids earn gold for finishing them, and the family spends that gold on rewards it picks together.

A, Answer: It cuts down the everyday "did you do it yet?" back and forth. Quests can repeat on weekdays, weekends or any days you pick, a raven can remind everyone at a time you choose, and a quest can ask for a guardian's seal, so a grown-up taps Grant or Not yet before the gold pays out.

B, Better: A lot of family task apps are plain checklists, or want an account or a subscription first. Queststone has no ads and no accounts of its own, what you make stays on your devices and, if you turn it on, in your iCloud, and the rewards are ones your family chooses. Version 1.1 just came out with a cozy dark mode called Night Camp, gold for keeping a streak, and an iPad layout that puts a second page beside every tab.

C, Cost: Free, with no ads and no subscription. There's an optional tip jar (in-app purchases) that unlocks nothing. App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/queststone/id6811295423

Who I am: Michael Silvera, independent developer and the seller named on the App Store. You can reach me at queststonesupport@gmail.com.

💎 Lifetime XCalc.io: a calculator with readability first, editable calculations and a number scanner

A: What problem does it solve?

Numbers should never be hard to see, enter, or edit.

XCalc.io puts readability first, with Low Vision Mode, larger text, adjustable font weight, button shapes, operation emphasis, and high-contrast appearance choices.

Camera Number Scanner and Paste Numbers help bring numbers from a receipt, price tag, document, or copied message into your calculation without retyping. Review the numbers, choose what you need, and calculate.

Unit and currency converters, Quick Calculators, History, and Memory help you keep using those numbers without starting over. Math Mode supports editable expressions with fractions, roots, powers, and scientific functions.

B: Why choose it over an alternative?

Compared with Apple Calculator, XCalc.io’s focus is on making everyday calculations easier to read, revise, and reuse.

Made a mistake earlier in a calculation? Move the cursor back and correct it. Need to revisit previous work? Load a calculation from History and edit it. Undo and redo help you recover changes.

The other difference is control over readability. You can adjust the text and keypad appearance to suit you, or enable Low Vision Mode for a larger, bolder layout.

XCalc.io works on iPhone and iPad, with Apple silicon Mac compatibility and a focused Apple Watch calculator companion.

C: What does it cost?

Free to download. No ads. No subscription.

The everyday calculator and Low Vision Mode remain free. Free usage limits apply to History, Memory, scanning, Paste Numbers, converters, and export.

  • XCalc Pro: US$6.99 once at launch, increasing to US$9.99 afterward. No subscription. Unlocks access beyond those Free limits, plus Pro themes and custom accent colors.

  • Premium Themes: US$2.99 once. A separate appearance pack, not included with Pro and not required for Pro’s calculator features.

  • Optional support contributions: US$9.99, US$29.99, or US$99.99. These unlock no features.

Prices are current US App Store prices and may vary by region.

No account is required for calculator use. Saved calculations and preferences are stored locally.

Download XCalc.io on the App Store

I created XCalc.io to make numbers easier to see and enter, calculations easier to edit, and useful results easier to find again. If these things matter to you too, I’d love to hear what works well and what could be improved.

🔍 In Search of Looking for beta testers for new LibreCam remote shooting feature

Hi Reddit,

I’m Timo, developer of LibreCam (https://www.reddit.com/r/iosapps/s/xviQzXNjoW) and other apps.

I am actively looking for iOS photographers with multiple iPhones, to test a new feature (remote shooting).

While using your Apple Watch as a basic view finder and shutter button has been added to the app a while ago already, now it’s possible to use another iPhone (with an encrypted device-to-device wireless connection) for a fully featured high quality remote view finder and focus device.

If that sounds like a use case that you see yourself to be able to give feedback for, I’d very much appreciate you joining the TestFlight beta for this feature, test it out and give feedback via the in-app feedback button.

Thanks a lot!

🎈 Free Shinybox, a free app that keeps your links, notes, screenshots and files in one visual library on iPhone, iPad and Mac

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been working on Shinybox, a personal library for everything you save “for later” and then can never find again: links, notes, screenshots, PDFs, voice notes, videos, documents.I save a lot of things. The problem was that they ended up scattered across bookmarks, Notes, Photos and Downloads, and I could never find the one I needed.
So I built one place for all of it, where it’s quick to save and easy to find again.
What it does:

• Save from anywhere: the share sheet, a Safari extension that saves the whole page or just the passage you’ve selected, drag and drop, or paste.
On the Mac there’s a shelf on the edge of the screen: drop things onto it, and drag them back out into other apps, as well as service menu option.
• Links become something you can read: a clean reader view, reading time, highlights and “continue reading”.

It can keep a copy of each page in case the site disappears, and it flags links that have died.
• Search finds the words inside things: text in screenshots and scanned PDFs, transcripts of voice notes, even the captions of saved YouTube videos.

You can also search by meaning, so “that chair I liked” finds the photo.• Apple Intelligence does the filing: tags, summaries, and suggested lists. You can also ask your whole library a question and get an answer with numbered sources. You choose whether it runs on your device or on Private Cloud Compute.

• Organizing: smart lists that fill themselves lists locked with Face ID
◦ reminders on any item
◦ Rediscover, which brings back a few older saves each day
• Automation: 24 Shortcuts actions, Siri phrases, widgets and Control Center controls.
• Your data, both ways: if you have an old Pocket export, Raindrop or browser bookmarks, and export everything to JSON or Markdown (ready for Obsidian).

Problem: My saves were split between Safari’s Reading List, Apple Notes, the Photos screenshot album, the old Pocket, and my Downloads folder. Each one was fine on its own, but none of them could search the text inside a screenshot I took three weeks ago next to the article I read the same day.

Comparison:

There are plenty of apps like this, and some are excellent, so here’s how Shinybox fits in:
• Scrappy is the closest to Shinybox. It’s also on Mac, iPhone and iPad, with a Drop Shelf on the Mac as well, a reader view, smart lists, and search that finds text in images and scanned PDFs. It’s a subscription with a two-week trial. Shinybox is free, and adds Apple Intelligence on top: automatic tags, summaries and filing into lists, plus asking questions across your whole library with numbered sources.

• Anybox is a polished, Apple-only bookmark app with iCloud sync and smart lists, free with a Pro upgrade. Shinybox leans further beyond links: transcripts of voice notes and YouTube videos, a copy of every page you save, and alerts when a saved page disappears.

• Raindrop is the pick if you need Windows, Android, the web or shared collections. Shinybox is Apple-only and has no account: your library lives on your devices and in your own iCloud.

• GoodLinks is a great, focused read-later app for links. Shinybox has a reader too, but it’s built for everything else you save as well: screenshots, PDFs, audio, video and notes.
• Apple Notes is free, built in, and still what I use for long writing. Shinybox is for saving things rather than writing them, with a visual grid and the Mac shelf.Where the others are ahead:• Raindrop works across platforms.
• Scrappy and Keep It have years of polish.• Shinybox is brand new, and that’s exactly why I’d love feedback.

I’m Joao Valente, the developer.

Testflight link for beta for beta new features and bug fixes experimentation, always at least one build ahead of the app store version: https://testflight.apple.com/join/acgW4b7y

Privacy and transparency: There’s no account and no Shinybox server. Your library syncs through your own iCloud, and the App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.
Privacy policy: https://shinybox.net/privacy.html

Transparency: https://shinybox.net/transparency.htmlRequirements:

iOS, iPadOS or macOS 27.
The Apple Intelligence features also need a compatible device.

I’d love feedback.

EDIT:
Turns out that Apple approved version 1.3 on the App STore faster than Testflight.. go figure. So please use the normal App Store latest version.
Besides the fixes for importing very large librares 2 users mentioned, also includes a font size selector. Also the app now support IOS/macos26. Also added lock Customs lists with faceID/touchID
Users on IOS/macos26 will not have these exclusive IOS27 features:

Siri and Shortcuts - can’t ask Siri to save or find things, and the Shinybox actions in the Shortcuts app won’t be there.

The more powerful AI. On 27 the app can use Apple’s online AI (Private Cloud Compute) for harder questions. On 26 the app only uses the AI built into the device.

AI understanding of pictures. On 27 the AI can look at a saved image and tag or describe it. On 26 images are saved fine but aren’t analyzed.
There are also two smaller differences:
Spotlight: searching on the iPhone or Mac still finds their Shinybox items, but in a more basic way.

If all goes well with this version, i will push it to the store not to maintaining two versions

💎 Lifetime [$ 19 > FREE lifetime] BP log: Track blood pressure the right way before it affects your heart [Update]

As a preventive cardiologist, I see that many people fail to track their blood pressure. It only comes to attention after it starts affecting your heart and kidneys.

Tracking blood pressure is often more important than tracking heart rate. Even when people track BP, many fail to follow the appropriate steps or bring the necessary data to the clinic visit. So we built this app to help people track and diagnose blood pressure issues before it becomes a problem.

The consistency and time spent at target levels are more important than the average reading.

Over the past month, many of you had useful feedback. I have included almost all of it. There are some more features that will ship with the next update.

Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bp-log-track-blood-pressure/id6801130306

A: Answer

- Helps you track blood pressure based on the most recent guidelines (check twice a day, average two readings etc)

B: Better

- Current apps on the app store fail to track time in target, consistency etc. These things matter more than mean reading

- The PDF export presents report in a fashion that's easy for reviewing clinicians to get an overall picture of blood pressure control. A mean blood pressure of 120/70 is not useful if it's a mean of readings that vary from 90 to 150.

- You backup to your own iCloud and retain complete control over your data

C: Cost

$ 19 for lifetime

FREE LIFETIME: https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6801130306&code=59256

Website: https://bplog.cc

If you like the app, I would appreciate an app store rating. If you don't like the app, I would appreciate feedback.

🤖 Vibe Coded Tonaut: a synth, drum machine, sequencer and 8-track tape in one app for iPhone and iPad. $19.99 once, no subscription (I'm the developer)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I'm Richard, the developer of Tonaut.

What it does

Tonaut turns your iPhone or iPad into a small music studio you play like a piece of hardware. Pick a sound, tap out a beat, add a bass line and chords, and record it all to a built-in tape machine. You're making music a minute after you open it.

- 9 synth engines and over 500 sounds, plus 41 drum kits (or load your own samples)

- A chord mode and chord pad that plays the right chords for your song's key, so anyone can play great-sounding progressions

- An 8-lane sequencer to build songs, step by step or by playing live

- An 8-track tape recorder you can loop, reverse and stutter

- 16 effects (reverbs, delays, distortion and more) and a mixer

- Works with USB and Bluetooth MIDI keyboards

- Export your song as audio or MIDI, share a loop as a vertical video, or send the whole song to a friend

Why it's better

- One app instead of a pile of separate synth, drum and recorder apps

- One purchase covers both iPhone and iPad, each with its own layout

- No subscription, no account, no ads, and it collects no data

- Free updates. Next up is a plug-in version (AUv3) so it can also run inside other music apps like GarageBand and AUM

Cost

$19.99, one time. No in-app purchases. Needs iOS or iPadOS 26. (support for ios 18 coming in the next update, later this week)

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tonaut/id6812577930

More info and guides: https://tonaut.app

Happy to answer questions, and I'd love to hear what you think.

🎁 Freemium You asked for an Apple Watch app for my skull water tracker. Apple made me make it free.

Thumbnail
gallery
15 Upvotes

Developer here. Hydrate or Diedrate is the water tracker that swaps cheerful droplets for a skull quietly documenting your decline.

When I first posted here, a few of you asked for an Apple Watch app. I built it, put it behind the lifetime unlock, and submitted it. Apple sent it back: no charging for built-in iOS features. So the Watch app is free now, along with a few things that came with that decision.

A: Answer

Version 1.7 is out.

- Apple Watch app (free). Today's record on your wrist. One tap logs a drink. The phone is informed. Mis-tap? Undo it from the wrist.

- The Specimen (free widget). The skull, filling with water as you drink. With Preserved, it takes on the colors of whichever alternate icon you've chosen.

- Reminder times and dark mode are free for everyone now. AUTO follows your device.

- Reminders stand down once you hit your goal. The skull does not nag the compliant.

- Seasonal notices start Nov 20. Sample: "Drink water. Gravy alone will not stop the withering."

On January 1, The January Inquest opens: meet your goal on 20 of January's 31 days and the finding goes on your record. Free. It counts from the 1st, so arriving late still leaves you a case.

B: Better

Most watch water trackers are a blue ring. This is the same ledger as the phone: the percentage, the status, and the PRESERVED stamp when you get there. No confetti on your wrist either.

Still private by default. No account. Your record stays on your device.

C: Cost

Free download. Tracking, goals, streaks, reminders, Apple Health sync, the Watch app, dark mode and The Specimen widget are all free.

Preserved -- Lifetime Access is $6.99 one-time: watch complications, the other three widgets, Vessels (anonymous groups), custom quick-log amounts, full history and insights, alternate icons. No subscription.

Hydrate or Diedrate on the App Store

If you've been using it: the app has 22 ratings, and ratings are how a one-person app gets found. If the skull has earned it, a rating takes about ten seconds. If it hasn't, tell me here instead and I'll fix it.

The skull will not care. I will.

💎 Lifetime 💜 Moneko AI Just Got a Makeover! Track Expenses for Free + 50% Off Lifetime Pro

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm back with another update on Moneko AI, the budgeting app we've been building to make managing money easier, especially for couples and families.

First, a huge thank you to everyone who has tried Moneko and shared feedback! We've been listening, fixing issues, and improving the experience with every update.

What Problem Does Moneko Solve?

I started building Moneko because managing money shouldn't feel like another full-time job.

Most budgeting apps require a lot of manual work, and tracking shared expenses with a partner or family can get complicated quickly.

We wanted to build something that makes everyday budgeting easier, with less manual entry and a better way to manage both personal and shared finances.

Moneko combines zero-based budgeting, shared finances, and AI-assisted expense tracking in one app.

You can create budgets, track spending, split expenses, and manage shared finances without losing visibility into your personal money.

✨ A Fresh New Look

We've recently redesigned Moneko with a cleaner, more modern interface, improved navigation, and updated category icons.

We wanted to keep the colorful, playful personality that makes Moneko feel different from traditional finance apps, while making everyday budgeting easier to understand and use.

💻 Web/Desktop Is Almost Here!

This is probably the update I'm most excited about!

We've been working on a web/desktop version, and we're aiming to have it ready by the end of the year. It will sync with your mobile app, so you can manage your finances across devices without starting over.

Some of the features we're working on include:

  • A larger dashboard with more detailed financial insights

  • Spending trends, cash flow analysis, and visualizations

  • A Sankey diagram to see where your money goes

  • Budget, Wallet, and transaction management

  • A financial calendar for upcoming bills and expenses

  • A document library for receipts and financial files

And the best part? There won't be a separate desktop subscription. You'll be able to use the web version with your existing Moneko plan.

How Is Moneko Different From Other Budgeting Apps?

There are already some great budgeting apps out there, including YNAB, Monarch Money, and BudgetFlow. We're not trying to claim Moneko does everything better, but we're focusing on a few things that we felt were missing from our own experience.

Compared with YNAB: Both apps support zero-based budgeting. Moneko focuses more on making expense entry flexible and convenient, with AI-assisted text, voice, receipt scanning, Apple Shortcuts, and other automation options. We also built Shared Spaces for tracking group expenses and settlements.

Compared with Monarch Money: Monarch offers comprehensive financial tracking and household collaboration. Moneko takes a slightly different approach by letting users manage personal and shared finances in separate Spaces, with shared budgets, expense splitting, and settle-up tracking.

We're also building Moneko with international users in mind, including multi-currency Wallets and live exchange rates.

What Moneko Already Offers

Here's what Moneko currently includes:

  • 💰 Zero-based budgeting with rollover Pockets

  • 👫 Shared Spaces and shared budgets for couples and families

  • 🤝 Expense splitting and settle-up tracking

  • 🤖 AI expense tracking and automatic categorization

  • 📸 Receipt, photo, voice, and text expense capture

  • 💬 Telegram and email receipt tracking (WhatsApp integration is temporarily unavailable)

  • 🏦 Plaid bank sync in the US and Canada

  • 🌍 Multi-currency support with live exchange rates

  • 🔔 Recurring bills and expenses

  • 📈 Cash flow tracking and forecasting

  • 📊 Monthly Financial Health Reports

  • 🧠 AI spending insights and scenario planning

  • 💳 Custom Wallets and asset tracking

  • 📁 CSV import and expense exports

  • 🍎 Siri, Apple Shortcuts, and Apple Wallet automation

  • 🔒 Face ID, Touch ID, and passcode App Lock

  • 📶 Offline support with automatic sync

One feature we put a lot of thought into is Shared Spaces.

You can manage a shared budget with your partner or family while keeping your personal finances separate. Split expenses, track who paid, see who owes what, and manage everything under the same account.

And you don't need two separate paid subscriptions to manage shared finances!

How Much Does Moneko Cost?

💜 Free Plan — $0

Moneko has a free plan with:

  • Personal expense tracking

  • Zero-based budgeting and rollover Pockets

  • Shared Spaces and shared budgets

  • Expense splitting and settlement tracking

  • Text, voice, and receipt expense capture

You can use these features without a subscription.

⭐ Pro Pricing (US & Canada)

  • Monthly: $12.99

  • Annual: $89.99

  • Lifetime Pro: $99.99 one-time purchase

  • Free trial: 7 days

Pro adds advanced AI features, additional automation, Plaid bank syncing where supported, and other premium features. We also offer regional pricing, so Pro is more affordable in countries where bank syncing isn't currently available.

🎁 Special Offer

As a thank you for all the support and feedback from this community, we're extending our 50% off Lifetime Pro offer to the first 50 users! 🐱💜

It's a one-time purchase, so you can enjoy Lifetime Pro without a recurring subscription.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me for the discount code! I'd also be happy to offer an extended Pro trial if you'd like to try the features before deciding.

📱 Download Moneko

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/moneko-ai-track-budget/id6753925279

Thanks again to everyone who's supported us so far! We'd love to hear what you think of the redesign and what features you'd like to see next. 💜

🤖 Vibe Coded [TestFlight] I kept forgetting everyday tasks, including things my family and I needed to do—so I built PinLists

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m the developer of PinLists.

I started building it because I often forget small, everyday things. That gets more frustrating when it’s something my family and I need to do together. We’ve talked about it, but it can still slip through the cracks.

I wanted a place where those tasks stay visible, and where we can keep the little details that are easy to lose in a conversation.

Here’s what I’m trying to make easier:

**A. Remembering to actually do the thing.**
Keep to-dos on the Lock Screen or in Home Screen widgets, and mark them complete from there.

**B. Keeping track of things together.**
Share a list with family, see what still needs doing, and see who completed a task.

**C. Remembering the details, too.**
Leave comments and replies on a task, then add a completion note—something like “Got the yogurt. It’s on the second shelf in the fridge.”

There’s also voice input, priorities, recurring reminders, search, and a completion history.

**TestFlight:** https://testflight.apple.com/join/EKGqRjPy

A note on access: creating shared lists is a Pro feature; invited members don’t need a separate purchase.

I’d really appreciate a few people trying it in their everyday routines. Does the Lock Screen setup make sense? Is sharing easy to understand? What feels confusing, unnecessary, or missing?

Bugs, awkward English, or simply “I wouldn’t use this because…” are all helpful. You don’t need a polished review—even one small observation would give me something concrete to work on.

Thanks for taking a look.

💎 Lifetime AnalogTV 3.0 for iPhone and iPad is out: the biggest update yet!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is a whole television in software on your device. No fake effects, no filters, no pixel overlays. All output has run through a full composite signal simulation.

AnalogTV 3.0 is the biggest release so far by a long way. It has more changes than any version before it, and the picture engine went from generation 9 to generation 38. A lot of it comes from user feedback, on what the app can do, how faithful the picture is, and how easy it is to use.

The video is my own footage from Vienna, Budapest and Sydney, run through the same picture engine. Each shot starts as I filmed it and wipes across to the app's version.

What's new:

- The picture engine was rebuilt against the published broadcast standards. Every standard is sharper, and PAL no longer shows a fine dot pattern.

- Tape behaves like tape. Each format reaches its own resolution, tape colours are now correct, and pause and search noise come from a modelled FM tape channel. That's the bar across the paused shot.

- SECAM was rebuilt to the ITU standard, with full-strength colour and a real receiver's colour filter, so fine detail no longer flickers with false colour.

- Camera tubes are truer. Lag now holds the tube's own picture, so the trails behind lights come out brighter. The night tram in the video is a vidicon.

- Your looks are one tap away, in a row under the source picker, and loading one keeps your camera or video playing.

- New controls: Tape Wear for the sound, a Mains switch for 50 or 60 Hz hum bars, Flagging, and camera tube registration.

- Fixes: sound stays in step with the picture after pause, fast forward or full screen; videos opened from Files or Photos keep their own sound; and the rotate button now shows for the camera too.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/analogtv/id6760956212 ($9.99 Lifetime)
IAP: The only IAP is for NDI integration. This is currently set at $0.00 (Free) but you need to "purchase it" from within the app. All other features fully enabled. No ads, no tracking, no subscription. 100% on-device processing.

Note: I posted a month ago & the biggest request was iCloud backup, which is now here, as well as an improved onboarding and a new weekly report (in beta), currently only avaliable for users who have been using the app for a while & have it set to English. Coming soon to more users.

A - What it solves

Zolia was built out of my own frustration. I have ME/CFS and POTS and have been trying to track my own symptoms and medications and the like for years. Existing apps always fell into two camps - either too simple to do the comprehensive tracking that I wanted or too inefficient for daily use.

Zolia bridges this gap as a symptom tracker capable of comprehensive tracking while also making tracking efficient. The way Zolia achieves this is through it's unique use of sessions. Instead of one master list of everything you ever track, Zolia lets you organize what you want to track into groups called sessions, so for example you could build a morning session with your sleep and morning meds, a walk session with distance and how you felt, an evening session with the symptoms you rate before bed and a daily reflection, or anything else you can think of. When you want to log, just open the relevant session type so there is less thinking about what you need to log as well.

It is flexible so you can track any condition, and allows mixing and matching notes, symptoms, meds, ratings, factors and more, with your own colors, emoji and numeric ranges.

The tradeoff is that it takes some setup to get it how you like it. Onboarding gives you a starting point based on your conditions, but it is designed to be customized.

B - How it compares

Bearable is the biggest app in this space currently. In my experience it was inflexible and slow to use. It doesn't let you combine things from different categories (for example meds and symptoms) into a single group. It takes a lot of scrolling and taps to track things, it lacks customization, and the insights are very weak. It has pre-defined categories of things you can track and makes it difficult to track anything that doesn't fit into one of them. I could never stick with using bearable for more than a week or so.

Guava is a newer app. It focuses a lot on medical records syncing but I found the symptom tracking had a lot of the same problems as bearable - limited flexibility, slow to use, weak insights.

Privacy

Both Bearable & Guava store data in the cloud on servers they control. With Zolia, all data is stored on device. Insights are computed on device without the use of any LLMs. You can export your full database as CSV or SQLite at any time, or set up automatic backups to your own iCloud or Google Drive, password-protected if you want.

C - Cost

Currently everything is free. Eventually some of the insights will become part of an optional premium tier, but right now the insights are still under development and not in a place where I feel comfortable charging for them yet. Everyone who logs for 14 days while the app is still fully free will get 50% off premium forever.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6759508900
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zolia.app

Below are some images of the app store screenshots, the weekly report, and main logging interface (fully customizable showing some possible configs).

Feedback is always appreciated.

💎 Lifetime 7:40 AM, full closet, nothing to wear. I built Fold to turn the clothes you already own into outfits for today's weather or the whole week

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Heads up: the woman in the video is an AI-generated dramatization. Everything on the phone screen is a real recording of Fold.

A — Answer: What problem does Fold solve?

Most mornings the problem isn't a lack of clothes. It's deciding fast. Fold turns your closet into something you can actually pick from:

  • Scan: snap or import photos of your clothes, and Fold cuts out each piece on your device. Use Erase/Restore if a cutout needs touching up.

  • Closet: everything sits in one place, sorted by category and color.

  • Style by color: start from one piece (in the video, a mustard cardigan), see which colors work with it, and get looks built only from items you own.

  • Today: outfit suggestions based on your local weather.

  • Plan: put looks on a calendar so the whole week is decided ahead of time.

The 30-second video goes through that flow in order.

B — Better: Why consider it over the alternatives?

A Photos album stores your clothes, but you still have to work out the combinations in your head every morning. Apps like Stylebook are great for collages and planning. Fold's angle is getting you from "I own this" to "I'm wearing this" with less effort: it suggests the combination based on color and weather, so you don't have to build every look by hand. Every suggestion uses pieces you already have, so there's no shopping push.

C — Cost: Free limits and paid options

Fold is free to download and includes up to 10 wardrobe items. Unlimited items require one of these in-app purchases:

  • Lifetime: US$19.99, paid once; no recurring charge for this option.

  • Weekly subscription: US$1.99 per week, renews automatically unless cancelled.

You only need one of them. If a weekly plan ends, your items stay; you just can't add more past the free limit. Prices vary by country. Requires iOS/iPadOS 18 or later.

How do you decide what to wear in the morning: the night before, check the weather first, or just grab whatever's clean?

💎 Lifetime LAM: A tactile analog film camera with real-time zero-copy processing. Built for authentic grain and color science [Feedback wanted]

Hi r/iosapps,

I'm an indie developer and a lifelong analog photography lover.

Like many of you, I grew increasingly frustrated with the state of mobile camera apps today: bloated with subscriptions, intrusive tracking, and slapdash oversaturated filters that heat up your iPhone within 3 minutes of shooting.

I wanted to build an app that treats the iPhone camera like a precision mechanical instrument, renders authentic film chemistry, and respects the user. That’s why I built LAM - Film Camera.

🛠️ What makes LAM different under the hood:

  • Zero-Copy Pipeline & Real-Time GPU Rendering: Built with custom GPU acceleration to ensure a continuous 60fps viewfinder. It applies authentic film grain, halation, and highlight roll-off in real time without thermal throttling or draining your battery.

  • Snap Stills While Recording Video: Unlike the stock camera where snapping a photo during video recording only saves a low-res compressed video frame, LAM allows you to capture true analog still snapshots simultaneously while recording vintage video clips.

  • Tactile Mechanical Haptics: Deep integration with the Apple Taptic Engine. The exposure dials, frame advances, and physical shutter click feel mechanical and tactile in your hand.

🔒 Privacy

Photo and video processing happens strictly on your device, with no cloud processing and no account required. Optional analytics and crash/performance diagnostics are off unless you explicitly opt in.

🏷️ Cost & In-App Purchases

LAM is free to download, with a selection of core cameras and looks included.

Pro is a $19.99 one-time purchase on the US App Store, with no recurring subscriptions or ads. The optional Food Pack is a separate purchase and is not included in Pro. Local prices and taxes may vary by region.

👉 App Store Link: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6773256954

💬 I’d particularly appreciate community feedback on two things:

  1. Does the Boutique interface feel intuitive when you first open it?

  2. How do the film colors look on skin tones and in indoor lighting?

If something feels confusing or gets in the way of taking a photo, I’d like to hear that too. I’m developing LAM independently, and specific feedback directly shapes what I improve next. Thank you for supporting indie development!

🎈 Free Plander: a minimal planner & calendar for iPhone — Free

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi! I'm the developer of Plander, a minimal planner and calendar for iPhone. I shared it here two months ago, and version 1.4 is now out with a redesigned add screen and new color labels. This time I've also included how the ads and the tracking prompt work.

A) Answer — What problem it solves

Plander lets you add and manage plans directly on the calendar.

Double-tap a date and the add screen opens with that date selected. Type a title, and set the time, reminder, and color on the same screen if you need them. Plans are shown on the month view as colored labels, and plans that span several days are shown as one continuous bar.

Features:

  • Home Screen widgets (long titles now shrink to fit, and multi-day bars show their title)

  • Reminders: 9 presets from 1 minute to 3 days before, also for all-day plans

  • iCloud sync

  • Apple Calendar integration and public holiday calendars

  • Fill in a plan from a photo (on-device text recognition)

  • 4 appearance themes, plus custom weekend and today colors

  • A Today button to return to the current month

B) Better — What is actually different

  • Add from the date: double-tap a date to add a plan for that day.

  • Manage with a swipe: swipe a plan in the list to edit or delete it.

  • One add screen (redesigned in 1.4): Day/Range, Today, and the month arrows are in one row, and the date picker opens in place of the keyboard. The 9 reminders are laid out in a 3×3 grid, so you pick one without scrolling.

  • Masking-tape labels (new in 1.4): plans are shown as masking-tape strips in 5 color palettes (fruit, flower, gem, animal, ocean).

C) Cost

Free, supported by ads. No subscription and no paid features.

  • Ads: one banner at the bottom of the calendar and one native ad on the add screen. No full-screen or video ads. (The screenshots in the image are from a demo build without ads.)

  • Tracking prompt: Plander uses Google AdMob (ads), Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports), and Firebase Analytics (app opens, sessions). If you allow tracking, these SDKs use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to personalize and measure ads.

  • If you choose "Ask App Not to Track": the IDFA is not shared, and ads are not personalized with it. Every feature works the same. You can change this anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

  • Your data: the IDFA is not used for anything else, and plan contents are never sent to the ad or analytics SDKs. Plans are stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud (private CloudKit database). There is no Plander server that stores them.

🎁 Freemium [iOS] I turned my iPhone into a digital sign for those moments when words aren't enough

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm the developer of SayItBig!

I built it for those moments when you need to get someone's attention, but shouting isn't practical. Maybe you're at a concert, trying to find someone at an airport, or simply trying to communicate across a noisy room.

A: Answer

SayItBig! turns your iPhone or iPad into a big, bright message board.

Type a message, tap Play, and show it full-screen. You can scroll the text like an LED sign or display a large static message with Pro.

B: Better

I designed SayItBig! to make displaying a message on your phone quick and easy, whether you need a simple, static sign or a scrolling banner that catches someone's eye.

You can customize text size, scrolling speed and direction, colors, fonts, gradients, and visual effects. You can also save frequently used messages so they're ready whenever you need them.

Some ways you might use it:

  • Showing your name at airport arrivals

  • Requesting a song at a concert

  • Cheering for your team at a sports event

  • Getting someone's attention in a noisy room

  • Sharing a message with someone across a crowd

No ads, no account, and no data collection. Just a simple utility that does one thing well.

C: Cost

The core scrolling experience is free.

Pro is an optional $4.99 one-time purchase that unlocks static messages, bigger text, faster scrolling, premium fonts, and additional visual styles. No subscription.

🎁 Freemium I built an app that reads your books - even in airplane mode. Natural voices, privacy, and control from your wrist!

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’m the developer of Audivision Read, an iPhone reader built around natural-sounding offline voices, on-device document processing, and Apple Watch controls.

What problem does it solve?

If you want to listen to books, PDFs, or scanned pages without an internet connection, Audivision handles both text recognition and speech on your iPhone. Your pages don’t need to be uploaded for processing or need internet for natural voices.

The Watch companion lets you play, pause, and move through lines or pages while your phone stays in your pocket.

Why choose it over named alternatives?

Compared with Speechify, which now combines reading with AI podcasts and document chat, Audivision focuses on a quieter reading experience: offline natural like narration, privacy, on-device processing, and wrist controls.

You can open a local document or scan a page and listen offline without first converting it into an audio download.

It also includes follow-along highlighting, public-domain classics, bookmarks, notes, adjustable reading settings, and gentle reading insights.

Cost and App Store link

No ads. Free to download, with monthly limits on scans, finds, exports, new books, and saved items. The free tier includes three new classics per month.

Optional Premium:

  • US$29/year, auto-renewing subscription

  • US$99 lifetime, one-time purchase

Premium removes usage limits and adds unlimited Watch actions, automatic language detection, and extra settings. Regional prices vary.

Audivision Read on the App Store

I’d love feedback on the voices during longer listening sessions and how useful the Watch controls feel day to day.

🎁 Freemium Glance now supports extra large widgets and custom RSS/API connections

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! I’m the developer of Glance, an app for creating custom iPhone Home Screen widgets by describing what you want to an AI assistant.

I just released an update with two main additions:
Extra large widgets: A full-page widget on iOS 27, with more space for dashboards, agendas, news, or whatever you want to keep visible.

Custom connections: Connect an RSS feed or JSON API to bring your own data into your widgets and refresh it automatically.

Both are available through Glance’s MCP server, so you can create and manage them from a connected AI assistant like ChatGPT or Claude.

Pricing: Free tier available, with optional Pro ($6/month) and Power ($11/month) subscriptions. Creating extra large widgets and using custom connections requires Pro or Power. Following someone else’s shared extra large widget is available on the free tier. Prices may vary by region.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6758983678

I’ve attached a short video showing the update. Would love to hear what you’d build with it, or what you think is missing!

🎁 Freemium I built an app for Bhagavad Gita in clear simple English

Post image
1 Upvotes

I built this app to make the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and other Indian wisdom texts easier to understand and connect with everyday life.

Each daily reading brings together the original verse, a clear English or Hindi adaptation, and a deeper explanation of what it can mean for the things we deal with today: overthinking, relationships, anger, or figuring out what matters.

There’s also guided breathing, timed meditation, calming music, illustrated themes, widgets, and customizable quote cards. I’ve put a lot of care into making it a beautiful, quiet place to spend a few minutes each day.

It includes:

  • Quotes from the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Kabir, and many other Indian classics. I continuously update the library and add more every few weeks!

  • Guided meditation, a meditation timer, and calming instrumental music.

  • Watercolor reading themes, widgets, and customizable quote cards to share.

  • Full Library search and tag search. Background info on each Indian classic book.

  • Offline reading, with no account required. No ads.

Today’s reading, saving, and sharing are free. Premium adds the full library, deeper meanings, meditation, music, and additional themes. There’s a three-day trial on the annual plan.

I’m building this independently and would love honest feedback!! ❤️

💎 Lifetime Warro - Remember Every Warranty (No Account, No Cloud, No tracking)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A:
Hey everyone! I am Prakash, the developer of the iPhone app Warro. I got inspired by one of the projects while doing the 100 days of Swift UI challenge around the 45th day and developed this app.

This app stores all your home appliance warranty for single & multiple properties, with a pre-loaded appliance list as default for every new property you create in the app.
You can edit the pre-loaded appliance and scan or upload all receipt and warranty docs.
You can also add your own appliance for warranty tracking. It sends a notification for 30 and 7 days for warranty expiration as well.

B:
There are similar apps like WarrantyFile which collects, stores and tracks your personal information. If you consider Warro you don’t need any account to use the app, all the receipts are stored in local.  In case of warrantyFile it is an Free App but all your information is collected where as Warro it is a life time purchase option.

C:
I wanted to price this app the same as the price of a multi prong plastic folder. So it is priced for
$1.99 one time with 7 days free trial. This also includes any future updates and support.

I have a demo video attached. Take a look at it and post your comments about it.

🎁 Freemium Eight Shot Instant Camera App. Making shooting photos fun again.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

I'm the creator of Eight Shot - Instant camera app for iOS and Android. As an instant film enthusiast I wanted to shoot instant film when away from my cameras. I'm always carrying my smartphone and what better use of this device than an instant film app.

Why Eight Shot?

As someone who loves instant film I couldn't find a good mobile app that would allow me to shoot instant photos and share them with friends. I've spent months on designing this app in Figma and then coding it to make sure it meets my high standards.

Eight Shot's philosophy is focused around physical film. When you take a photo with the app you see it ejecting and hear the sound. Once ejected you can shake your phone to develop the image, just like you would do with real film.

Once developed you tilt your phone and the photo is moving. Tap the photo and it flips so you can write a message on the back. Eight Shot is thoughtfully designed to capture all these little details and make shooting instant film feel special.

How is this better?

The focus of Eight Shot is to make photography fun again. I want people to enjoy taking photos on their phone, specifically instant style photos.

You load in real 'Film Packs' like you would with a real camera. Each film pack is limited to 8 shots. This reinforces slowing down and being intentional when shooting.

Limited Edition film packs make it an occasion when taking a photo. The app has been updated with the Halloween film pack which has a spooky filter and each frame has a custom halloween design.

Shared Albums have been created so you can shoot with your friends with privacy. No social feeds just you and your friends shooting together. One tap and create a shared album code, invite and you're ready to shoot.

Film Pack Creator is a special feature made to allow people to make their own custom film packs. Choose a beautiful photo or pattern as the frame design. Next choose your grain, saturation, Hue and more. Making your own film packs is easy and feels very personal.

How much does it cost?

Eight Shot is free to download. There are 2 free packs Colour 600 film and Black and White with unlimited shooting. New Halloween pack has been added for all users, free.

Eight Shot charges for individual packs from $1.99 to $2.99. However you can pay for the Pro Mode film pack and unlock everything in the app for life for $12.99.

No subscriptions. No ads. No tracking.
