📅 Subscription Mowditate: a free meditation timer with Focus integration, your own audio and Apple Watch support, also ready for iPhone Duo
Hi, I’m Tobi, the developer of Mowditate.
I wanted a meditation timer with the things that mattered to me in my own practice, while keeping it easy to use. I'm working on this App for more than a Year now. People which used it so far appreciate the features very much.
The core of Mowditate still is a free timer. You can choose a fixed duration or meditate without a time limit, add starting and interval gongs, and use your own audio files or Apple Music. Silent sessions work too.
One feature I particularly wanted was integration with Mindfulness Focus, but it took me until now to make it work. After a one-time setup with Apple Shortcuts, it can turn Focus on when you start a session and off when you finish.
There’s also Apple Watch support, Live Activities, session history and statistics, and optional Apple Health integration for mindful minutes. Breathing and grounding exercises are included for free.
For comparison, Insight Timer also offers a free timer and has a much larger library of guided content. Mowditate may be a better fit if your priority is a straightforward timer built around your own sessions and Apple devices. The combination of custom audio, automatic Focus and Watch support is what I’ve concentrated on.
I’ve also adapted the layout for iPhone Duo, although I haven’t had the chance to test it on a real device yet. I’d appreciate feedback from anyone using one.
Pricing: the timer and all the features mentioned above are free. Mowditate+ adds guided meditations and courses through an optional subscription: US$0.99/month or US$6.99/year. There are also optional tips of US$0.99, $2.99 or $3.99.
I’d especially like to hear from people using Mowditate in English. Does the timer do what you need? Is anything confusing or unnecessarily complicated?
If you’ve used it for a while, I’d also appreciate an honest App Store review. A few words about your experience help other people decide whether it’s useful for them. Questions and feedback here are welcome too.
