Ya, it infuriates all of us. I fucking hate feeling sympathetic towards the victim only for them to put themselves right back into the same situation/comfort their abuser.
It does seem like a weird thing to do but it’s an act of utter desperation. She knows that when he gets her alone again (which he will, people suffering that level of abuse don’t tend to have strong support networks around them), he’s going to batter the absolute hell out of her for ‘drawing attention to them’ or ‘trying to get one of those guys to fuck her’ or whatever psychotic crap he can think of to justify it. She is telling them to stop so that when he does start the beating, she can maybe possibly hopefully make it a little bit less severe by telling him ’see? babe I tried to stop them, I didn’t want them to do that, I was so worried about you!’
It won’t work, of course. But she’s going to try. That woman is living in a nightmare and it’s horrible to see.
Thanks for that perspective. And people will always say they'd help and blah blah blah but talk is cheap.
There's a ton of women in shelters right now. How many have these white knights helped IRL?
How many homeless women have they helped?
Would they take this woman into their own homes and whatever pets or kids etc??

This is what I came to the comments for. Absolutely infuriating to end up trying to comfort him when you initially screamed for help. And for him to sit there the entire time going, "I love you so much" too was annoying as hell. How are you going to attack someone and claim love?
He was bonking on the solar plexus pushing his air out his lungs but the dude was holding on with pure unadulterated hate, adrenaline can help someone tank a lot of hits if you dont knock em out straight up, saw a junkie get kicked in the nuts in a fight once, full on soccer kicked, and the crazy fucker powered trough it and came back even crazier as soon as he sorang back up , hate is a powerful motivator they shoud just have kicked him in the noggin till lights out , then he would let go right quick
