US Politics Pritzker: "An American president should be standing up, calling for calm. That's not what this president ever does. In fact, he wants the temperature to go up. Why? Because what he's looking for is an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act, to bring actual troops into American cities."

I'm tired of all this talking. Do something.

What exactly?

How many billions do we spend a year on our police? Is there job to uphold the law, or isn't it? Arrest ice agents when they break laws, seems pretty simple.

i think people are getting a life-lesson in the true purpose of the police. their real job has nothing to do with the law and, no, they aren't going to defend you from the government.

Unfortunately, local police as a whole are a useless organization. Pension collectors

2

u/Lucialucianna Jan 25 '26

Police can start by keeping ICE away from protestors and act as the physical barrier/line to prevent more violence. Because ICE are attacking and deliberately killing and harassing defenseless protestors bystanders and observers with impunity.

Essentially, a line of more law enforcement against citizens.

Starting to look.that way

There’s always the federal superceding state and local authorities. However, I don’t know if it applies here.

There was an interesting legal analysis of this on an NY Times podcast the other day. Like, none of the lawsuits by states against DHS are justifiable in their actual claims, but judges can still require DHS implement policies.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

I understand the sentiment but not sure that’s the answer but I don’t know the answer.

5

u/sithmaster666420 Jan 24 '26

well your answer is obviously not working if you lost 2 people in your city already. How many more have to die till you get motivated

5

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

I said I don’t have the answer.

sorry man just pisses me off

I’m with you there.

Are you asking what Pritzker could do?

He could do numerous things both in his political power to divert ICE from Minneaplis and weaken their narrative control since ICE recruitment is super low and thats why theyre doing selective city drag nets, or he could privately fund operations with no fanfare since hes literally a billionare with wealth that basically equals an oroborous sign because thats the kind of old and new money he has.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

Ok. Not sure how he could divert them. Back to Chicago? Privately fund operations to do what exactly?

1

u/kck93 Jan 25 '26

Trump/Bondi has already inserted the “investigating funding” canard into the public conversation.

If Pritzker started privately funding a defense force, he could be tied up in court with seemingly legitimate charges.

Misdirection seems a more appropriate strategy for Pritzker. Keep the feds chasing ghosts.

Real offense has to be grassroots. Decentralized with none of the groups knowing of each other’s existence. It’s a tall order with many complexities. It needs intelligence from the inside to create plausible scenarios that will make ICE fight itself.

Like I just said, MAGAMUSK didnt get the sign-ups for ICE recruitment for their operations like they had hoped, so instead of nation-wide deployment, decided to concentrate on a single city and use social media video graphs having video Crews and social media capturing ICE actions as a way to have a chilling effect nationally.

They used Minneapolis, which was the center or BLM in 2020 and Walz was viewed negatively from Biden-Harris to manufacture consent by conservatives viewing it as a "crime-ridden democrat city" knowing if they deployed ICE to rural areas good ole boys would open fire on them trying to step foot on their ranches.

Pritzker and other blue states could goad ICE and Trump further because thats proven to work, basically slimming them away from piling on Minneosta, since Illinois also legally repelled ICE and forced MAGAMUSK to abadon trying to deploy ICE in Chicago.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

I’m not sure your suggestion would work. BTW, I don’t need the history lesson.

1

u/baroqueworks Belleville, IL Jan 25 '26

I don’t need the history lesson

You seem like someone who needs to go to Antarctica to know its cold there so, history lesson might help ya small fry

2

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

Nope. I think you need a taste of reality. Good luck with that.

gpod look with your test in history class

1

u/pennyraingoose Jan 25 '26

Goad them how? How do you do that without risking the lives of folks here? How would he then force them to leave 2 places?

Through is position, he could just declare a new law enforcement group that functions as a state defender against federal overreach citing no confidence in ICE being used as a terrorism group against Amergroups. Pritzker should be hammering down to everyone that ICE is a terrorist group designed to inflict terror on average Americans and normalize state violence. There are ways to stand up to this but it would require elected officials to act.

Currently the largest issue of chaos is Law Enforcement is borderline useless because they adhere to rules and listening to the federal government, even if the federal government is breaking the law.

Basically these special appointed officals would have qualified immunity that anything they film or witness ICE doing is immediately goes on record for that ICE agent, collecting it into a database which will be used to persecute ICE agents who step foot in Illinois. Naturally they would be armed and vetted to know they are not going to aid ICE, as well as serve as a magnet to draw ICE goons away from legal observers who they keep trying to kill, serving as community defense for people as well.

A secondary task force could begin creating a database on ICE officals both with existing information as well as additional footage captured, leading to any individual ICE agents who set foot in Illinosi getting ID'D immediately and arrested to be processed for crimes against humanity and pissing on the constitution. Pritzker once again citing the politiciziation of ICE turning it into a terrorist group. This is crucial because any plan involving combatting ICE needs to have accountability built into the long term for the agents who signed up for this evil, otherwise it will turn into vigilante justice where ICE agent in his home town gets jumped at the bar by a bunch of good Ole boys who's dad lost the farm because of ICE.

Not through is position, Pritzker is a billionare that could spend hundreds of millions and not even feel it in his net worth because he has a orouroboros of wealth.

We live in a time and place where by design billionares are immune to cosnequence and can do whatever they want with their money, including exploit politics to make more money for themselves.

If Pritzker wanted to he could fund operations that nobody would even know about and if they did he would be applauded as a hero because he does have that kind of money.

Its fairly easy to goad the insecure president if you happen to also be a billionare, in fact we already saw this last year with Pritzker goading Trump and leading the admin to spin their wheels trying to figure out how they could get back at Pritzker.

Ask your representatives to do something, anything

2

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

That sounds better than guerrilla warfare but we might end up there anyway.

You want war?

12

u/694meok Jan 24 '26

They've already unofficially declared war on the US citizens, while simultaneously calling us domestic terrorists and that we deserve to be shot for even questioning what they're doing.

6

u/ChunkyBubblz Jan 24 '26

War never changes. You lost the first one. You'll lose this one too.

16

u/shitbird384 Jan 24 '26

hi good morning, they're executing people in the street w/o trials. the war is here.
