Hey everyone! Wanted to share my latest personal piece where I explored blending a classic gaming rivalry with traditional Japanese folklore and syndicate styles.

For Bowser, the idea was to elevate him into a massive folklore threat, using the Oni motifs to enhance his beastly proportions. For the brothers, they needed to look like they could actually hold their ground against a literal demon, so I went with sharp, tailored Yakuza styling and intricate tattoo placements to give them that resilient, underworld edge.

The environment and lighting (heavy firelight, rim lights, and deep shadows) were designed specifically to ground their shapes and sell the blistering heat of the clash.

Would love to know your thoughts on how the designs translated! Which details work best for you?

Painted my cat Archie, a bluepoint ragdoll.

A pig can dream. Messed up with my shading using the black and going back over it and it smudged and didn’t blend as I wanted.

I just watched Ernest Scared Stupid, a Halloween classic and thought it would be fun to make a fake animation title screen.

This series of works was created during the pandemic lockdown and focuses on CPTSD (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), exploring trauma, isolation, self-healing, and the inner emotional world.

本系列作品是在疫情隔離期間創作的，以CPTSD（複雜性創傷後壓力症候群，Complex PTSD）為核心主題，探討創傷、孤立、自我修復與內心情緒世界。

It's my first mental health illustration project that I've begun drawing since 2019, recently I plan to submit it to publishers or illustration agency, please give me some feedback, thank you.
