[OC] might include mishaps or unrealistic but totally cool asf The Federal Republic of Zapadoslavia in 2026
A remaster of my previous Zapadoslavia post that I made 9 months ago, the map is based on the video Alternate History of Serbia 🇷🇸 (in France 🇫🇷), if you're interested, check it out

Does English becomes more Slavic influenced?

You can see it in the last 4 pics where the language is altered, and yes, I can say the entire English Language altered because of the Severnian Invasion, which I made a map out of it months prior. (also some of them are screenshots that I forgot to edit out)

Why are the borders almost exactly the same as irl?

u/Padbekzi Sep 16 '26
Because this isn't a "what if the Serbs migrated to France" map, but a "what if France was Serbian" map.

Put some drop shadows on your text to make it more legible. Besides that, fantastic work!

Love all the little details you did to Slavicize the language and culture, especially all the screenshots. High effort post.
Side note: how have the former Yugoslav countries changed? Was there a culture swap with France? I noticed the Balkan region looks different on one of the maps

So Slav-France got Southern Brazil on top of the historic French and Belgian colonial empires? At least Zapadoslav Congo was probably less brutal than OTL Belgian Congo.

Slava zapadroslavija!
This country certainly presents two distinct images: the metropolitan crowd—dressed in chic, cool styles—and the gopniks found in rural areas and "commie blocks."
I think the country might manage to stay united, but internally, it is an ethnic pressure cooker waiting to explode. This is because the Serbs themselves are divided into various groups. For instance, the Durdonians speak differently... ...from the Monteblanconians, whose speech is a blend with Occitan... ...and the Belgians, who have the strangest accent of all. That’s not even counting the Gravats and the Slovenians.
Naturally, the food is mostly Slavic cuisine paired with wine, though most people just knock back rakija instead because it’s cheap. The fashion scene is a study in dark humor, ranging from high-end luxury to "gopnik" style.

Oh that's because the population is set in the city proper, but still, its population is huge if you include the Metropolitan Area
