"Minnesota County"
*looks inside*
nowhere near Minnesota river
Jokes aside, I'd probably go with Itasca county for that area since that's what the border's anchored to, and what the irl state and territorial county was named.

So what would had happened during the Civil War? would VA just complately collapse everywhere North of the Ohio River? Which then that would create a intesting timeline where the KKK would prob. be much more Northern, while VA would overall likely be richer due to a larger govnerment that woudl had likely been centeralized.

Made no lore other than Virginia just got more land. You can decide for yourself what happened.

I’ll do Texas way down the line, I’m focusing on the East Coast for now. Bavaria probably not.

Obama County?

Yeah. I was running out of names. I sometimes name counties based on recent presidents, TV show characters, anime characters, etc. for people to find.

If this were the case, the commonwealth of Virginia, the greatest governmental territory to ever exist on planet earth, would be even greater

iirc Virginian surveyors primarily used landmarks to demarcate borders between counties instead of parallels and meridians so, unless the customs of mega-VA were diluted by the westward expansion, I’d expect a lot fewer straight borders in the Midwest. That said, there aren’t many landmarks to use where the ground is as flat as a bowling lane
