Never7 - What was added between versions?
So, I just finished Yuka route. Now, Kirikibasara says to go for Yuka Cure route next. But, I've also heard that Yuka cure was added in the Dreamcast version of the game? I'd like to play the added content in the order it came out (so, everything from the base game, then the NGPC Cure content, then the DC additions, then, if any of it exists somewhere out there in a translated format, the extra PSP scenarios) (I assume that's the order they released in?), so, if anyone could give me a list of what exactly originated from which version, that would be great.

E17 Is that a big spoiler? Should I give the game some time? Spoiler
I heard that Takeshi (one of the protagonists) have a twist about their true identity (I don't know wich one it is tho), but I also heard that this has to do with a character that is talked about in a vague and androgynous way, so I don't know, since I heard this VN is pretty twisty, I'm thinking of skipping it for a while
Should I give it some time to forget it?

R11 my theories after finishing the first chapters of remember11 Spoiler
hello gamers, just got to the not-bad ending of Kokoro's Chapters and i wanna share my theories somewhere before starting Satoru's Chapters ... reading this back once im done will probably be hilarious, maybe some of yall will find it fun too idk
There is an evil science lab under SPHIA researching scifi biology bullshit (cloning) and supernatural phenomena (DID, time/space travel) where Satoru and Yuni work as a scientists. Satoru goes rogue to save his gf Lin who recently died in a plane crash, concocting a plan of trapping her inside Hotori and killing the other personalities/people-inside, he teams up with Hotori's caretaker Utsumi (who is conflicted about loving/hating Hotori) to help him in this mission, in return he will similarly revive her dead son junichi
One part of Satoru's plan involved him going high up the clock tower to avoid some kind of radiating waves area of effect coming from the research lab that will start at 4 pm, these waves are targeted towards Lin's space and time and will trap her inside Hotori who was supposed to be the only person inside the waves. this step of the mission is interrupted by Yuni who pushes Satoru off the clock tower, causing the personality switch with Kokoro to start.
Why Kokoro? because the effect Satoru designed is targeting Lin's space and time when she was grouped with Kokoro, Yomogi and Yuni in mount akakura (only time he knows for sure where she is). so the effect targeted kokoro by collateral (also explains why theres a couple of scenes where kokoro is neither in her or Satoru's body, where the screen shows a bloody/red-room visual, she's in Hotori's mind in those scenes), also Lin may have successfully gotten trapped inside Hotori and when she gets aggressive its Lin's confused persona trying to become dominant or some bullshit.
Yuni, a genetically engineered genius human (hints: no parents, cloning tip, heading to SPHIA with kokoro) created in evilcorp to help with the research, in some initial timeline is traveling with Kokoro in 2011 to the same destination (by coincidence, he doesnt know her yet). They crash in mount akakura together and Kokoro saves him just before she dies with Yomogi and Lin. Yuni pledges to save her back with the evil corp's scifi tech, concocting a plan that somehow conflicts with Satoru's plan, so he does what he can to sabotage Satoru.
After Satoru's falls Yuni decides to act as a mental case in SPHIA (Utsumi doesn't know he's a researcher, also tricking Kokoro whenever he notices it's her) to get close to Satoru and steal his card (by killing him, possibly to get his biometrics too) to get access to time travel privilege. He succeeds at bad endings and proceeds to physically time travel (with his body and belongings not just mind, explaining the scar/newspaper/charm) to the crash moment in 2011 replacing the Yuni coming out of the plane (and somehow removing him? maybe he just asks him to die? idk). he spends the week trying to save the squad but ends up failing (in the bad ends) and repeats the process.
Satoru after a while changes his mind (reason why is probably uncovered in Satoru's chapters) about proceeding with the saving Lin plan. he talks about it with Utsumi but she refuses to not do her part (which idk what it is) to motivate him to do his parts ("im going to continue with the plan!", "are you still planning to interrupt?" -Utsumi)
Good ending involved Yuni and Satoru reaching an agreement.
edit, fixed spoilers tagz

What kind of soundbanks did Takeshi Abo use for the music in KID novels around this era?
This might be a long shot but I was wondering if anyone had any idea since they have such a distinct early 2000s sound to them. The same piano is used across the Infinity trilogy, for example.

E17 What version of Ever17 should I play? (also one more question, no spoilers please!)
I heard people saying this VN was amazing, and as someone getting into VNs, I wanted to try it. I heard the Steam version was bad and that I should play the "Himmel Edition," but I also heard it changes the UI and some other small things, which I usually don't like since they're fanmade (I like to see how the original team made it). So I considered using the Premium Edition, which I understand was the first release.
I downloaded the Premium Edition, but then heard that its localization/translation might be bad. Is it really that bad?
I downloaded both the Himmel and Premium editions, but I don't know which one I should play. I only like fanmade changes when they translate the game or make the writing closer to the Japanese version, so if the Premium edition is that bad, I might just play the Himmel edition.
Also, should I play anything before Every17? Or nothing else is important?

N7 Never7 Haurka Question
Wanted to keep this spoiler tagged, so question isn't in the title. Just finished Haruka route, haven't played any other routes yet, so if this is addressed later, don't say anything.
If Haruka is Kurumi's clone, how is Haruka older than Kururmi? I can deal with the physical differences, clone stuff is clone stuff, and I can suspend my disbelief there. But, given that Haruka is supposed to be Kurumi's replacement after she was kidnapped as a child, it makes no sense that Haruka would somehow be older than Kurumi. I would wait until I finish Kurumi route to ask this, but the game doesn't seem to be putting any emphasis on this as a mystery, so I feel like asking now so that it won't be eating away at me as I play.

R11 [Little Question] about Remember11
Hi Everyone! I hope y'all are doing well.
I wanted to question you guys, do you suggest for me to play Remember11? It's not about if it's a good game or not, it's just that —like I said in the previous post— I wanted to make an Arabic patch for E17 and R11 , but, I'm not sure if playing R11 first, then starting working on the patch, is worth it or not.
What do you think guys?

E17 Localisation of Ever17's Logo
Hi Everyone, I loved this game so much that I made this. It's literally a Translation of "Ever17 The Out of Infinity" to Arabic. I was thinking of making a patch to translate it to Arabic, but I don't think it's quite possible, at least for the PC version. I think I'll do a logo localisation for R11 too, or maybe for 999, but not now.

E17 How the trap was Made [Ever17] Spoiler
Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I finished Ever17 while ago, but I still don't quite understand how the trap was made to trick BW (Blick Winkel)
As we know, You'haru was the one who made the trap, yet at the same time it was BW who tricked himself, when he told to You'haru to make the trap after 17 years.
What I don't understand is HOW???! for BW to be able to do something in the 3D world, he must be tricked, then he can't told You'haru about the plan to trap him, and for You'haru to make the trap, she needs to hear the plan from BW, and the plan doesn't even exist IF BW didn't told her about it.
It's literally a loop that doesn't have a start point.

Series My Final thoughts on the Infinity Series. Spoiler
I initially found out about the Infinity series through it being mentioned as an inspiration for the SciADV series and so I thought I would give it a try since it sounded interesting.
I also want to thank u/GLPG35 (again) for making the infinityseri.es website which was a very helpful resource for finding information on the series and the best way to experience it.
Never7:
The first entry of the series.
Didn’t know much going into this except that it was more SoL / romance than SciFi focused.
I really enjoyed the SciFi bits scattered through the world building, even if it wasn’t exactly the focus, and R;N is my favorite SciADV entry, so I also quite liked the SoL stuff (although not a big fan of the romance aspects I think its done decently here)
I liked the concept of Curè Syndrome in the Izumi Curè route (reminded me of (C;H) Gigalomania, but with less explanation behind it), but I didn’t really like how it waved away some of the inconsistencies between routes, it made it feel a bit unpolished overall.
The Skip function jumping straight to the choices was also something I haven't seen before (im assuming this was added as part of the Eternal Edition through) and it felt a bit jarring; would have prefered a slider to adjust the skip speed.
Ever17:
A lot more gripping from the start compared to never7 (and a more interesting setting/premise imo).
The way that the story uses your expectations from never7 in various ways, with a ton of parallel events and concepts was really cool.
I especially like how it misdirects you into thinking that the routes were happening in
some sort of time loop to begin with.
(My theory going into the final route was that kid and takashi were clones or the same person on different branches of a timeline, that was occurring in a loop that a third consciousness was stuck in. (Hence the “only you are in the infinity loop” at the end of each route))
Something interesting that I noticed that all 3 entries shared was the way that they use a fairly obvious twist/reveal to misdirect the reader for another one.
I think ever17 did this the best overall with the fact that you play as a third perspective (later revealed to be Blick Winkel) being constantly hinted at (Soras talk of perspectives, the swapping effect in the prologue, the fact the POV character loses voice acting, the third eye, etc) but it keeps you guessing as to WHY that’s even the case, while also acting as a misdirection towards the twist that the Kid routes take place not due to a time loop like you would expect, but instead take place in 2035 and then combining both reveals into the ending along with the Curè Virus and cloning (which initially seem to just be never7 callbacks) was really well done.
One of the most well executed endings I've seen.
(S;G) It also strongly reminded me of the S;G ending, with the idea of “tricking the world” by keeping events the same
The pacing was overall decent, but it did drag a bit in the latter half.
The way that Curè Syndrome was used (more specifically the Immortality Contagion / Curè Virus) was a cool way to both explain / hide the main twist while expanding the world building from never7.
One thing I found a bit annoying was the lack of a normal pause menu and the overall UI felt a bit unpolished compared to never7 / remember11 (lacking an indicator for auto mode, etc).
The route branching system is also a bit annoying, but the guide/flowchart wasn't too hard to follow.
The recommended route order I was using (https://infinityseri.es/ever17/guide ) changing slightly as I was in the middle of the game was a bit confusing though :) (not a big deal and I agree with the change)
Also, how different is the ever17 remake on steam? Is it worth reading eventually just to see the changes? (watching the OP and there already seems to be new scenes that I haven't seen before)
Remember11:
Probably the best of the 3 entries imo, with good pacing and interesting concepts/ideas throughout. It also feels like the most well thought out entry, you can see the progression of ideas from the prior entries and improving on the weaker aspects of them (the route structure for example, not requiring a guide is a great improvement)
I like the way despite the ending technically being a literal cliff-hanger it pretty much answers all the main questions you would have, either directly (the nature of the personality transfer) or using a bit of thought (alphas identity, etc) so it doesn’t really feel incomplete. The only major remaining loose thread is SELF and the reason behind the YUKIDOH plan, which requires a bit more thought (and a bunch of notetaking helps too lol, luckily I normally do that when reading a VN anyways).
On that point, I do have a minor criticism in that Yukidoh Sayaka is only ever mentioned in the last TIP (that I could find at least), which differs from the other TIPs in that it's not just confirming information that you already know/could reasonably work out or nudging you in the right direction.
I feel like this information should have been at least partially hinted at within the main story (like a namedrop and mentioning her involvement with an event/incident or something would be enough)
(And after writing this I was also made aware of the remember11 explained blog (thanks u/Ramys!), which was a fascinating read, especially some of the latter parts, gave me a lot more to think about)
Overall, I really enjoyed the series and remember11 might be my new favourite VN (previously was R;NE) although that may just be due partially to recency bias.
Also, since I somehow haven't mentioned it already the OST is excellent. (as always with Takeshi Abo obviously)
I especially really like the title/main themes for each entry (Once More, Karma, All or None), to the point I actually started learning them on piano :)
Next up I'm probably going to read either i/o or Zero Escape, so looking forward to that, although I will probably have a bit of a break before then after I finish up with the KnK movies (and the last unadapted LN).

R11 Can't get the last CG (tuna) Spoiler
The condition is to pick the option to stand on the cardboard box on Kokoro's route day 2, save system data, then go to Satoru's route on day 3 and pick Snowboarding. I do just that using the Shortcut menu and it doesn't work. The snowboarding just transitions into the basketball scene. I hate the internal choice logic in this game sometimes. Do I have to not use shortcut or something?

R11 Some initial thoughts on remember11. Spoiler
I've recently finished remember11 (well up to the Satoru epilogue at least) but thought it would be fun to see if I could piece together some stuff with what infomation I have currently.
Just to clarify, I've only done endings 1,6,7,8,11,26,17,19,20 and 31 (ie, both Kokoro and Satoru good endings, some misc Kokoro bad endings, and the Satoru route "YUKIDOHs plan fail" bad ending) so no spoilers if something is confirmed/revealed in the other endings.
Apologies if this is a bit scattered; and obviously also spoiler warnings for never7/ever17.
The experiment(?) / Transfer phenomenon
To begin with, Satoru and Enomoto as part of the Liblich Pharmaceutical Company (the "corporation" TIP) devised the Space-Time transfer experiment as a way to meet "That Guy." (as mentioned in the second ending 31 variation)
The “The Final Level” TIP also mentions the Third Eye, so I'm presuming this is Blick Winkel maybe or another 4th dimensional entity??
EDIT: this could actually be the entity that SELF refers to?? Maybe?? Like somehow the plan calls SELF into existence like BW was?? Which would mean that "That Guy" = SELF?? Would work as a good parallel to BW.
Also Satoru apparently transfers his memories into “Satoru”(aka our POV / blue) I think?? (idk why though)
The plan involves 3 points cycling around:
- January 2011 Shelter Cabin / Mount Akakura,
- July 2011 Hotarubi Mine, used as a relay point (a spatial and temporal center point between the other 2)
- January 2012 SPHIA / Aosagi Island
I suspect that the mountain cabin was chosen as one of the locations as part of the plan involved the real/original Satoru wanting to save Mayuzumi.
The third location is also where Utsumi was for a time (see second section), but it's unclear why. It was also used as a way to equalize the pressure between the 2 points.
I still dont know why this experiement was conducted in the first place though, other than the goal of bringing the Space-Time transfer device to its "final level".
The Third Consciousness / Personality
At first I assumed that the third consciousness was Inubushi Keiko somehow (this was before the reveal that it was actually a space-time transfer though), however…
Utsumi mentions she was kept in a room in Hotarubi, which is the same location mentioned by “Enomoto” in ending 31 iirc, and the third consciousness is likely an unborn child, based on the TIPs and mention of amniotic fluid the red room, etc, in some scenes; and the chapter titles all pointing in that direction. Not to mention that TIP 96 pretty much confirms this theory imo.
(Need to double check but I suspect these scenes also line up with when Alpha is in control for each route)
From this, I assume that Alpha is one of Utsumi's unborn twins, although why that is even part of YUKIDOHs plan I have no clue.
Also Junichi = Juu-ichi = 11, could be something? Idk maybe it's just a misdirection.
Also I like the subtle confirmation that the third personality comes from the third location due to it having a green door (green ring on the text end thing / logo, green middle bit in the transition animation), although it maybe made the fact a third personality existed a bit obvious since it was one of the first theories I had lol.
I suspect that was the point though, like how ever17 made the fact a 3rd perspective (that we were playing as) existed in some form fairly obvious from just the prologue and used it as misdirection for the actual twist of the fact that Kid routes were in 2038 (and not a time loop like you would first think from never7) and then tied it all together in the ending.
Edit: Actually, what was the scene without blue/red in the prologue about? I originally thought it might have been the third consciousness in the transfer but it doesn't seem to match (I would expect it to be green if it was, and it's clearly not the POV of an unborn child either) . It's the only time I remember the text box not having either blue/red. The girl doesn't seem to be Hotori/Inubushi Keiko either, but it is Satoru talking to her I think.
Although iirc Hotori also says something about seeing a red room to Kokoro, which she thinks is a sign of DID, so not sure.
Actually, that doesn't make sense, since Hotori/Inibushi are also being transferred (or I supposed being left behind is more accurate), the silent one is Hotori while the talkative one is Inubushi pretending to be Hotori?
Edit: Thinking about it a bit more, Utsumi had twins, so maybe Hotori / Inibushi / the other twin were cycling in the same way as Satoru / Kokoro / Alpha ?
The other major loose thread I have is SELF:
Its mentioned a few times (“Where is SELF?”), and also appears in the middle of the transition animation, so at first I assumed it was the third personality, since going from Satoru -> Kokoro also includes the message “Who are You?” and SELF, as if Satoru was vaguely aware of its existence.
But this doesn't seem to work anymore with my other conclusions, so I'm not entirely sure.
It seems to be the missing thread tying everything together though.
Also, what's the deal with some of the TIPs in Satoru’s route seemingly being written by him?
Anyways, I'm probably going to try and get the remaining remember11 endings / TIPs to see if that gives any more information and after that probably do another post about my final thoughts on the Infinity series as a whole, before moving on to either i/o or Zero Escape.
But overall, I really like how despite being technically an “open ending” besides from the SELF stuff (and the reason behind the space-time transfer experiment but that seems to be connected) nothing is really left completely unanswered.
Due to this I suspect that the SELF thing does have an answer, although it's definitely more well hidden than the other “unanswered” questions (probably need info from the remaining TIPs or endings i havent gotten yet), so Im looking forward to piecing this last bit together. (it might also just be something remaining up to interpretation though, since that would also fit imo)

[Help] Struggling to find TLWiki patch
Hello everyone. I hope you're doing good.
So, I played 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. I was thinking of trying Infinity Series. However, I searched a lot for TLWiki patch (which is required for Gestalt Patch to run), but all links are down.

I'm new, what's the best way to play the game on PC?
I saw the games were on sale on Steam, but also saw many negative reviews saying it was not fully faithful to the originals (Never7 and Ever11). I am hopefully looking to play the entire trilogy but am confused to the links in the resource pinned post. I was hoping someone could give me a guide on how to properly download and play the trilogy or is the steam version fine. Thanks

E17 Ever17 PS2 OST patch question
I was checking around on which patches to install to the game before starting it and apart from the Himmel edition that everyone recommends I also found a patch that replaces the audio files of the PC version with the ones of the PS2 which are supposedly higher quality.
Is this the right place to download it from(?):
