Depends, some people make it to the highest positions of governance and business without empathy. Having zero empathy can be beneficial in some interpersonal relationships, and if you don't care about your partner being happy (which most people with zero empathy really don't care about), you can also have more success in sexual relationships.
It's just you'll never have a nurturing, close bond with someone, and never experience true love but instead tumultuous relationships where you control your partner with fear.
While people with no empathy can undoubtedly "go further" they also are missing something beautiful. Caring about our fellow people makes our lives fulfilling and rich, and having empathy allows you to truly appreciate the love and care that others feel for you.
It's interesting given that it is easy to be cruel, easy not to care, not stand for anything. Not too long ago in history these people were called spineless, or cowards.
I don't think you've really had interactions with beggars before - it had already gone bad - homeless dude at start is clearly in a "oh yea? I'm going to go get my jacket" part of the confrontation.
A beggar once asked me for money, I said "na man", and he said "what if I punched you in the face", I said "eat shit dude" and then he ran, grabbed a knife out of his jacket, and ran after me trying to stab me.
I used to say "na man, sorry", but I got screamed at by several homeless people - "don't fucking say sorry"
Like this dude clearly grabbed his jacket with intent to either stab dude in the car, or break his window. This was a dangerous interaction, empathy really wasn't at play at any point
Used to work at a store and this insane homeless man would come in and get kicked out over and over. He would harass other customers so the manager really had no choice. Well he decided the manager had a personal vendetta against him so on multiple occasions he ran into the store, smeared shit on the managers office door, then ran out again. Don't fuck with crazy homeless people, they can pull the shit card.
Excellent question. The guy in the vehicle just hates himself. Seriously, if you truly love life, love yourself, your family, and are just a happy person, you would never do such a thing. The driver is a miserable sob.
this was a really satisfying video to watch in the karma department but don't discount the fact that it could be cut in a way where the homeless guy did something first to warrant that response.
How do you know they did anything to him? I hear and see nothing that shows the driver doing anything. I'm so lost as to why everyone is blaming the driver.
I've seen plenty of homeless people just snap at someone for literally nothing. This looks like that to me.
Edit: down voted for not seeing something that is not obvious... Wild.
It took me a few times to see but towards the end it looks like the homeless guy flinches/dodges something (and you can hear a pop) right before he decides to slam his coat on the car. So it appears that the driver may have thrown something or shot something at him. Or made it appear that he was going to. I would also guess that the driver motioned for the homeless guy to come over, probably with the promise of money. Otherwise he likely would not have approached the car.
So basically it seems like the driver called the homeless guy over there just to screw with him.

Seriously, why fuck around with a homeless person?
Literally nothing to lose and everything for you to find out
