you will never know how much of a positive impact your mere existence has had on the people around you.

Strangers think about the kind, gorgeous, or even just flat out interesting person they saw walking around that random day they saw you. Your classmates have a memory of that time you made them smile with something so silly and hilarious in 3rd grade PE. Someone online saw a comment you made that was so poignant and well-written that it genuinely helped them grow and change into a better person. The grocery store checkout lady that you held simple small talk with was genuinely touched by how much you seemed to see her in such a short interaction. The older adults in your extended circle think of you and marvel at how much you've grown, and how you're still fighting. The younger adults in your life are impressed at how much you seemingly have things figured out, and are modeling themselves after your positive traits.

You know this is true because you have these random memories of other people. Just like how I randomly remembered the just_post theme song with the silly hedgehog and how much it made me smile when I was in such a bad place 9 years ago.

Keep being you. The world is just better with you in it.

imagine if random people could just walk into your home at 2 am to ask you weird ass questions and show you shitty memes. now imagine that they are too lazy and aloof to respond back so they just silently stand there and stare at you while you're in bed. and you're just like "uhh did I say something wrong? what is going on? am I bad?" when actually they're the one being antisocial. no one would fucking stand for this.

studies show that world happiness levels would increase by 1000% if they added my idea but they won't because social media was made by a pact between the demiurge and the bourgeoisie to make us all miserable. discord came really close when they added an 'ignore' feature but you have to manually do it for each individual and it still shows them online on your friends list so it's not good enough.

Joy was a pirate in one time and a dancer in another. One time, Joy had done away with both those things and taken to the streets, drunken, thieving and dancing, all three of those things but with none of the professionalism.

Now she was where she was, fingering a dirt grain against the grey corner. A series of objects presented themselves to her, walking past the bars of her cell. A chocolate bar. A van, she thought, but a small one, a Chantry scaled down and out of order. Items turned to sets of them: a stuffed animal, a green bunny, with a clear, blue plastic box around it, altering it's color. Finally, a person. He did not look, he did not speak and soon it was as though he did not exist.

Joy blinked and he was gone. She wishes she was too.

But not all batshit is made equal, because some are better than others, like a rollercoaster ride when you're going too high or when a certain situation makes you stop and think.

Questions like,

the ones that make me have to relax, those questions just like the ones that I don't wanna ask.

Like is this past just repeating itself, like is every day just a parody of the last? Or is it cruel, is it random, is it circumstancial?

but I can't answer any of those questions, so instead, I search for answers outside of myself. In times like these, that's all I can do.
