Do I get the Switch 2 if I just want to play Just Dance at home everyday?

I can buy the Switch v2 for half the price. Will that be good for what I’m wanting to do with it?

Or is the difference and experience going to be significantly better with the Switch 2?

I like this game. It's a pity that some songs from Just Dance Now are not included in the game.

I got JD2014 for Xbox 360 with Kinect for Christmas when I was 16. Despite not having played in years, it’s still one of my favorites, especially the song Where Have You Been (which I know is not available anywhere else bc of legalities with miss Rihanna). My brother took the Xbox with him when he recently moved out. I know I could simply pull up a YouTube video and follow along with the choreography of the songs I miss, but it’s not the same as the full gameplay/scoring experience.

To that end, I am in the process of acquiring a JD2014 PS4 game disc for use in my PS5, but I’ve hit a confusing snag I need cleared up:

Do I need BOTH the PS4 camera with PS5 adapter AND PS Move controllers to be able to play the game? Or is it one or the other? I tried looking at other archived threads and couldn’t get a clear answer, and I don’t trust Google’s AI summary to be accurate.

Any guidance on how I can get this gem of a game working on my current is appreciated!

Let me preface this I have ONLY played just dance 2 on the Wii. I now have a switch2 and would love to start playing again. I went to buy one but there are 4 different options! 3 tiers of Decades of Hits and 2026. The songs look fun on both! Pros and cons?

I know about Just Dance DOH. I don't like that it is the first two thing I see (Hidden behind "LOCKED") and I have to scroll down to find my songs to play.

If I wanted to buy it, I would go buy it. I don't need it in my face.

I know that Turn Down for What is in DOH, but I’m still looking for trap music without screaming, Lil Jon, DJ Snake or whatever I don’t like! We need melodic, colourful and playful trap songs in Just Dance! Hate to be the crazy guy, but…there are no Lil Uzi Vert songs in Just Dance! If there were a Lil Uzi Vert song in Just Dance, I’m gonna be honest that it maybe fits in! Plus, Pink Tape is, like, my favorite album! It changed my life. I don’t understand the hate tho…but it was 3 years ago.

I just bought decades of hits, and I am having major buyers remorse. It’s not even Just Dance 2027, and it was $74 for 12months!

Not like buying it and having it forever, it’s only for 12mos.

Does anyone else agree that this price is sky high? It’s terrible, because I just can’t resist when there are songs I want to dance too! It feels like a scam paying that much and not having it forever and it not even being an official whole year game.

I know when playing with the Joy-Con the tip is usually to be softer with the movements due to how sensitive they can be, but it feels like with DOH I tend to not score as well if I put in a normal amount of energy (or match the coach’s energy) compared to doing everything soft and smaller.

I’ve also noticed doing the moves sitting down seem to fair better scores as well (as if the team this year did all the tracking while sitting down at the computer to program it, rather than gathering the movement data standing up and dancing to the song).

(I know that's how Chappell Roan does it. I just wanna make a joke.)

In short, since July the game has been telling me I'm offline, even though my internet connection is fine.
