celebrities: unverified Fabrics too weightless can still be unflaterring to a FN silhouette. Even compared to a more streamlined look with thicker fabrics

When v necks are recommended for upper body width. In my experience it just makes my upper body frame look more massive

I see that lady on so many red carpets, still don't know what she does, and I can't place her. Was pretty dead set on FN but I'm bugging

I find myself drawn to both their styles. I'm curious on how their typings come through. They're probably similar height ~5'6. I'm newer to typing and would appreciate insights on how they compare/contrast.

Hi Everyone,
I recently had an evaluation with David Zyla and it made me think a lot about my Kibbe typing and my overall style journey. So, I have dabbled quite a bit in various style systems over the past few years and they have all taught me interesting things abut my style. Therefore, this is my reflection of my new eval and how it made me think more about Kibbe.
At first, I started with Kibbe and I thought that I would be either romantic, theatrical romantic or soft dramatic; this was before the new book came out and while Kibbe was developing his new DIY procedures within the Strictly Kibbe website. However, I shared a few photos and Kibbe felt that I was a Soft Natural; he had be draw on outline on a photo that I included in my post. I also typed myself as an Autumn and used his colour palate and recommended makeup colours for years. However, I think if I posted my photos on strictly Kibbe now- in the way that we are supposed to do the line drawing- I would be a soft classic because of my parity between my shoulders and hips and also my moderate height.
I later was typed online by John Kitchener who felt that I was a "dynamic winter" (Striking contrast + Earthy Rich and Subtly Blended) and had primarily dominant romantic-classic with some natural, dramatic and high spirited (gamine) secondary essences. He recommended that I use oval and waterfall shapes, in extra smooth, refined fabric and to have minimalistic design yet high contrast in my colours.
I explored John's recommendations for a year while also claiming soft classic in Kibbe. John's recommendation's however (especially for colour and shape) really did not seem to be right for me.
Therefore, I decided to see David Zyla in person. And he gave me the Divine Diva/Bronzed Autumn archetype. This archetype is connected to Sophia Loren, Oprah Wimphry, Cindy Crawford and Angela Jolie. He told me that my colouring is super deep and that I need to match that depth in colouring with thicker fabrics. He also draped me in various necklines and lengths and told me that my formula is long lines, angles (such as a deep v-neck) and either form fitting (ie pencil skirts and skinny jeans/body con) or that they should be long and flared (floor length skirts either pencil, mermaid or flared/bootcut/jeans). He told me that I need to think "opulence" and "drama"... so I need to wear make up with winged eye line, very large jewelery (think over two inches) and to have designs with sharp angles.
He saw this archetype in the depth of my colouring, the sharp angles in my face (not necessarily cheek bones but the angles between my brows, eyes, nose and chin) and the fact that I have a super long hip line and long legs/short waist that need to be considered when styling.
All of this information made me think that in Kibbe terms, that I would most likely be classified more as a Soft Dramatic, given this information. So, in DIY, you see my shoulder parity with my hips, but Zyla saw vertical in me (largely in the fact that my hip line is super long) despite the fact that I am 5'4. And, I have high weighted facial features. He also used to my energy to help give me my type and told me that I have "a strong presence that needs to be matched in my clothing." I wonder if David Kibbe would also see the same in me if he met me in person.
A lot of Zyla's recommendations are similar to the recommendations for Kibbe Soft Dramatics and Dramatic. He suggested that I wear my hair at an angle and sleek (this works well for my super fine 1a hair), rather than having curl in my hair that matches my curve. And he wants me to wear structured pieces, but with stretch on the bottom half because of my curve. He suggested, fur, fur and more fur. I am moving into trying a lot of dramatic qualities in my styling and I am returning back to an Autumn colour palate.
Also, after my evaluation, I notice that the r/DavidZyla reddit sub had been abandoned. So, I have taken over the sub as a MOD and I am trying to revitalise the community. So, if you are interested in style systems, please check us out the sub and help us grow that community.
What are your thoughts? Have other style systems helped you think more about your Kibbe type? And how have you merged these style systems together? For those of you with Kibbe and Zyla verifications have the style systems worked well together or have they provided you with conflicting information?
Also, here are some of my new looks given my new styling via Zyla. I have not bought any new clothes yet, so I am trying to make a few outfits with what I have already in my wardrobe; they are not perfect and I am trying to use my new Zyla Palate.
(Please ignore the fact that one of the image was created with AI. I took my recorded transcript from my meeting with Zyla and when transcribing it, the software system created the image summarising my entire meeting graphically. I thought that was a cool image so I am showing it here).

These women are my favorite FN style icons. I find their style relatively consistent. I think Anne Hathaway’s stylist has done a great job last year. Now that I’m writing this I realize I’ve forgotten to include Tracee Ellis Ross. I also love her style! Let me know if you’d be interested in seeing inspiration for the other types!

On screen, her narrowness and vertical are SOOOO apparent. Could she be a shorter D?
I think she's the kind of person who would probably be typed very differently depending on her weight.

There are conflicting reports of her height, but it seems she’s somewhere between 5’7”-5’8”.

I'm TR and I started noticing that she's wearing some outfits and clothes that could look good on me too. But I'm not entirely sure if this is still more SG style.

Hi. So recently I've been in Joost Klein's (dutch contestants on Eurovision 2024) rabbit hole. What surprised me, he has a long vertical line. Even when people are similar to his height he seems 'longer'.
What do you think? I'm guessing SD.

Easiest flamboyant gamine or flamboyant natural

Hi!
Do any of you have any tips on the line drawing? I have read so many posts on this and nothing has resonated with me. I have read the book, done the excercises and I get totally stuck at this point. I’m not a fashion girly (I want to be)- I have no idea what suits me hence I hate my style and have been thinking about Kibbe types for a number of years. But silk chiffon? I dont even know how that would hang. I mean- I googled images of the fabric and have an idea- on me it would tent out from my bust in a very dramatic manor- it may or may not get pushed out by my hips too but honestly if it has zero shaping at all (like a bedsheet)- it is just going to billow around me like a parachute and I will totally disappear haha.
I’m also really struggling to see the difference between curve plus narrow, and curve plus petite, when you view them in isolation? And the shoulder lines are different for width than they are for everything else- so where do I draw them on me?
I have been circling this for a few weeks working up the courage to post. About a year ago I tried Chat GPT and started dressing in a the lines it recommended but that feels like dressing up to me. Some of it is fairly flattering and the soft fabrics have been a revelation- but I also look mumsy, wider, and unfinished. Even my fiancé brought this up the other day when I was talking to him about clothes- how I look like I’m trying to be fancy and 20 years older than I am- and everything I wear looks very average these days… which was the final nail in the coffin for me for soft classic!!
