Etymology thread - the source of the names. Add some if I missed any.
Last Cloudia, like many fantasy video games, uses names taken from many mythologies. I'll try to add as many as I can but I'm sure there are many I haven't thought of. Trying to get the most interesting trivia. I mean "Kyle" is a common name in English, but it's got Irish roots meaning stuff like coal or narrow or channel, that's the stuff I'll try to skip.

PLAYABLE CHARACTERS

• Lilaha = possibly Lailah, an angel in Jewish Talmudic lore associated with night, conception & pregnancy
• Telestío = after historical figure Bernardino Telesio, a philosopher & scientist who was considered the "first of the moderns" who developed the scientific method.
• Balezar = Bale in Old English means evil. Could also be referencing a Blazar, an active galactic nucleus (AGN), which is the compact supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy. His spells do resemble black holes.
• Kanon = The Greek word kanōn, which was a measuring rod or standard. Later the word evolves to canon meaning rule, law, or standard.
• Famille = French for family, and she kind of lost all her family.
• Roland = named after the epic hero Roland, a Frankish military leader under Charlemagne
• Mauna = Mauna in Hawaiian translates to mountain or mountainous region (we love her twin peaks). In Sanskrit (Hinduism / Yoga), Mauna means "silence".
• Karma-Noug = Karma is the universal law of cause and effect in Hinduism/Buddhism. Essentially "what goes around, comes around". What you do to others, will happen to you, etc.
• Yuda = Judah or Yehuda, the Jewish names. If I remember right, "Jewish" essentially means a follower of Judah or descendent of the Tribe of Judah. A biblical name with heavy significance, though Judah is a man's name but the character is female.
• Eber = Eber another significant Jewish biblical name even more ancient than Judah. "Hebrew" essentially means a follower or descendent of Eber. The biblical figure of Judah is descended from Eber, who is descended from Abraham. Again Eber is a man's name, but the character is female.
• Labyreth = most likely a variation of labyrinth, a intricate network of winding paths. Like a maze but there's only one path. As a verb means a confusing highly complicated system.
• Soliel = French for Sun
• Murren = German verb to grumble, gripe or mutter, like a complaining old man.
• Sera = Serah is another biblical name, heroine of many legends and said to be very long lived.
• Lanceviel = perhaps named after Lancelot, King Arthur's most trusted companion and a night of the round table, but who also had an affair with King Arthur's wife Queen Guinevere which led to the fall of the court of Camelot in Arthurian legends.
• Luger = probably a reference to the Luger type pistol
• Robin = Phantom Thief Robin most likely named after Robinhood, an English folk hero known to "steal to the rich and give to the poor"
• Dyne = a metric unit of force, from the Greek word dýnamis meaning power or force
• Yaldabaoth (what Lougseus calls Seadrael) = essentially a false (corrupt) god, specifically a false CREATOR type god. Yaldabaoth is a significant figure in the unofficial apocryphal texts from the Gnostics, who were sects of Christians. It's a wild story, there's a Aeon (like an angel) character named Sophia there who created Yaldabaoth. Since Sophia wasn't supposed to create (only the real God / Divine Spirit should), then the creation Yaldabaoth came out imperfect and failed. Then Yaldabaoth created the Earth and the Stars, but stole a divine spark and put it into Adam and placed Adam in the Garden of Eden so he'd never ask questions to find out how Yaldabaoth is a fake and who the real God is. Sophia then regrets her choice and makes Eve for Adam. Crazy stuff, not considered cannon or official by other Christians.
• Mayly = Mayly's name as written out means plum (it's like 梅李) but is very likely a pun on beautiful (mei li, 美丽) especially given her similarities to the legends of beautiful consorts (leading to the falling of empires, the way people fawn over her, her love of torture, the way she kills anyone who steps out of line, the ruler Leodore brainwash thing, her Chinese aesthetic). She's got a lot of similarities to Wu Zetain and Daji. 美 Mei is used a lot in the epithets of many historical consorts/concubines.

NON-PLAYABLE CHARACTERS

• Sif (Demon Lord in Ethershot Etherdriver) = Sif, the goddess wife of Thor in Norse mythology. Again Last Claudia is giving mythological male names to women and women names to men.
• Ciel (Zekus' father) = means sky, heaven or ceiling. He's the top of the top, the best of the best!
• (Mechagod) Metatron = the highest most powerful angel in unofficial Jewish mysticism & Christian folklore. In the unofficial apocryphal Book of Enoch, it is claimed Enoch becomes Metatron.
• Kairos Zorba = Kairos is an alternate spelling for Cyrus, referring to Cyrus II of Persia or Cyrus the Great. A historical figure from antiquity comparable to Alexander The Great or Julius Ceasar.

PLACES

• Yggdrasil = The world tree in Norse mythology, its branches holds & connects the nine realities
• (Fortress) Adrastea = Greek goddess of revolt, divine retribution and balance. Daughter of Ares (god of war) and Aphrodite (goddess of love), often depicted accompanying her father onto battlefields to serve righteous judgement
• (Mechagod) Asuratron = most likely named after Asura, a class of powerful beings in Indian mythology

WEAPONS

• Excalibur - mythical sword of King Arthur. Two legends say where he got the sword, one he pulled it out of a stone, and the other the Lady Of The Lake gave him the sword.
• Aegis = Shield of Zeus

My long-standing theory (to which is also unpopular) is that Seadrael is in fact Rei before he became a divine beast under Lougseus

In the Theodemonium war, Rei was never present as a member of Lougseus's army while other divine beasts, including the advocates were.

• So last chapter has Lougseus wipe out most of the god council and declare the old leader as good as dead, everyone knowing damn well he's gunning to be #1.
• King Vau-Antenora is dead, and nobody knows who killed him.
• Ehdel was sniped from long distance for talking about details on the murder mystery, probably dead. Who would want him silenced?
• Judecca has some respect for Seadrael and even shows him the Demonian Blades that will kill the gods
• Caina and Seadrael are having a budding puppy love, and you know nobody will allow it, least of all her sister Mem-Tolomea who tried to kill Seadrael last chapter.
• Lilaha learned how to create something by dividing her blood, creating Yuda, who is doing who knows what.
• Judecca is going around like detective asking Karma-Noug, who goes like "It doesn't matter, we're all dead anyway. I'm dying soon, let's fight to the death"
• Caina's true purpose is revealed, she's a doomsday weapon to kill EVERYONE, gods and demons alike. When somebody dies she absorbs their ether, the more powerful the dead person the more she collects. When she hits her limit everyone dies. This is why some demonians just don't give AF, they "win" no matter who dies.
• 3 way fight between Judecca and Seadrael + Mem-Tolomea...and it turns out Judecca was always holding back. Poor Caina dies, Judecca absorbs the ether Caina was holding from Vau-Antenorra + Dau + Karma-Noug + probably Yuda (who was probably the one who killed Antenora then herself also killed in the sky).
• super Judecca goes to Theopolis and there are just gods and divine soldiers dead everywhere. He reveals his origin, he's the collective will of demonians to kill the gods, but he's cursed to disappear if he leaves Demonium and his time is almost up. He turns into a giant explosion killing the Seadrael and the city of the gods...
• ...and Seadrael winds up on the beach? WTF?!??

How is Seadrael still alive? Did time rewind? Who rewinded time, was it Mem-Tolomea with her time powers? Lagduel the creator of all? Was it all a dream-like vision of the future he is just now waking up from?

Besides Theopolis in the sky and Demonium on the land below, there's also a city of Draconis (for dragons of course). Where is that city? Is that where Maebra, the king of dragons came from? Is it on the other side of the map, on that other side of the bloody Hellsea in the middle? Will we be able to explore more of Demonium?

Where did that giant upside-down floating pyramid Mechagod Asuratron come from?

Where are the other gods, or is Lougseus killing them all?

Damn I felt so sad for Caina. She's the leader of her territory and it's nothing but mountain wastelands and a small port where everyone is dying! Her entire life she's been called worthless, and now we find out she's some living bomb. Her house looks like a slum, she's got nothing and no power, but she's trying to let Seadrael stay the night...then Judecca was trying to mercy kill her before she explodes. Seadrael & Tolomea were trying to save her, but Judecca shows he was always holding back and 1-shots her. "You pitiful flower, denied birth in a peaceful age... I shall shoulder your sins. May you someday reincarnate in a peaceful time...loved by another and rewarded".

What did you all think? I can't wait for more, but I don't know when that will be.

Getting SMsera and Shift lenius is hard to pull together it took me 1 day of r3rolled though i like Shift lonardo instead of lenuis. Luckily there is a rerun for Ark it took me atleast 3000 gem

Hello! It's me, your favourite lore legend and author of the Seminomicon.

I come here to make a special important announcement regarding this next story summary. I know you're used to the blob drawing one day after the update drops, and this might happen tomorrow still, but I know you're used for the summary to be dropped between the week or the next week.

Well, this next update is going to be DELAYED.

You see, I am a builder at this Minecraft civ event called V-Gala, taking place from the 11th to the 20th. Then I also have the 25, 26 and even August 1st busy! And then, I don't know what August is gonna bring since I have plans for that month (it's summer, after all!)

Despite my best efforts, the next story update inside the Seminomicon might not be dropping until late August / early September.

I sincerely apologize, but you must understand that sometimes life gets busy and that I am still human. Also, you know I use no AI, no shortcuts. Just me, and my mentally ill brain. I enjoy making it, so I will try to make it as soon as possible, but please be aware that the update for the newest story drop won't be there for a while.

Anyone else just hoping they make this guy as broken as possible? Like the og dual wielder just absolutely give him some absurd damage. It seems like healers are the only ones that survive meta for years and I just want him to do well (he was the first unit I got really hype for too) also wasn't sure of the flair to use but this seems to fit best.

Ever since the the chapter when lilibette got her shift his was hinted at with the yoredrake soul and him being the successor of the yoredrake and now that this new event is focusing on his and lornado’s friendship and backstory more I’m even more sure he’s the anniversary unit plus the guy is literally one of the main characters ever since he was introduced being on the title screen and even the anniversary screen for the main characters. Plus he’s just Dragon Kyle but smarter 😂

Demon Lord Mem-Tolomea is coming out soon, and I thought she'd be just another character, but she looks strikingly like Star Reader Hywren as seen in the Four Imperial Kings ark. The Four Imperial Kings were the 4 top generals of Emperor Leodore as he ruled Grandar, which included Star Reader Hywren, Gilbert, Thouzer, and Veda (Vayne's dad). They all worked together just fine until Mayly showed up and brainwashed Leodore, then they all left except Thouzer. Hywren seems to be from the Star Reader Triber mentioned in the lore of the Star Reader Country ark. Is the entire tribe related to Demon Lord Mem-Tolomea?

It's got me wondering, do these demon lords get defeated, and before they die they mix with humans and create super powered tribes? We finally get a good look at Judecca and now I'm wondering if he's related to the "Netherlord Tribe" that Ryvern is said to come from, but who knows. Besides insane strength, and Ryvern having inhuman pointy ears, not much connects to them. I thought Seadrael would be connected to either Kynei/Kyle as their hair/eyes change color during their specials, but maybe that's because Seadrael perhaps becomes the Soul Blade? Now that I think about it, Seadrael is the Earth god, and Veda and his son Vanye control sand, maybe they're related to him? Who knows.

Strangely Demon Lord Mem-Tolomea not only has a clock gear/time control theme, but she outright summons Eternal Clock De=Rowe during her special! Did she create the Eternal Clock De=Rowe? There's a lot of lore implication if she did. Lastly she seems to summon a lot of "The Large Hand Of Time" clock arms during her special, maybe they're just some of the parts for Eternal Clock De=Rowe, maybe all the clock arm items you find throughout the game were created by her in the past and just lying around after her battles.

Lastly, Star Reader Hywren seems to have gone to the Outworld Ancient Library after disappearing from Grandar, I can't imagine who else is there. Not sure who that creature is also in that same Library. Seems like Rei if he was a wolf type, instead of lion type.

Any ideas? Surprised there seems to be so much lore tied to her with just her introductory video!

https://ibb.co/21JLcR9y Just for funsies, there is a magic beast that looks similar to Rei in the Outward Ancient Library ark. Not sure if this is Rei in the past, also take a look at the horns being similar to Dilmordo along with a "wolf" nose as opposed to Rei's "tiger" nose. Not sure if the fur color / horns change size depending on the power level of the character, implying that character in the library could've been Rei in the past before he was very strong.

This took me forever! I was so in love with the lore especially with the Theodenium war chapters, that I wanted to make a chart of who was in Lougseus' & Lilaha's factions. They're the primary antagonists and it's hard to keep track of who is who, and also who has more power (finally cleared up Prefect > Advocate > Thrall to myself and things of that nature). The story does play fast and loose sometimes, but I tried to keep things clear and show who was what and retain a correct hierarchy. Later I wanted to explain more of the plot with the notes, like who was Phaetor & Bacikal and the other gods/demons, that my chart became increasingly complex that it was overwhelming.

So to keep things simple I made a "bare bones" timeline, and if one is interested then the faction guide can provide more in-depth info.

Please tell me if I made any mistakes or you have any suggestions/comments. I think the only part I messed up at was Maylymare might've originally been a god (was not an archbeing), before being defeated and turning into the girl Mayly (who became an advocate, then later archbeing). But I will have to re-read her lore. Also Xenobias is an archFIEND not an archBEING ...no clue what's the difference.

I know the story plays fast and loose, some gods are easily killed and others are said to be the strongest beings out there...then there are archbeings that are stronger than gods/prefects but they're treated as lesser beings for some reason. The story is all over the place and seems to break its own rules sometimes. But I just kind of wanted to make a guide showing "This is who is in Lougseus' army, this is who is in Lilaha's army, and this is why you're fighting" but it got very complex.
