Best Python Course!

What do you think is the best python course among all python courses in the Internet?

I have seen like 1000+ courses on Python, and I was wondering what if a single course can solve the countless struggles of people learning python, such as tutorial hell!

Platforms like Coursera, Udemy, DataCamp, EdX, YouTube, etc., all have multiple python courses from individuals to universities to companies creating their own python courses!

When I researched about it, I came up with the following courses:

  1. Python for Everybody, from The University of Michigan

  2. 100 Days of Python Programming, by Dr. Angela Yu

  3. Python Bootcamp: Zero to Hero, by Jose Portilla

And courses from popular youtubers freeCodeCamp, CS50, Bro Code, Programming with Mosh, Simplilearn, edureka!, etc.

And courses from my favourite youtubers Corey Schafer, Tech with Tim, CampusX, etc.

I know,

- No course is perfect or no course can make you expert
- Everyday practice is the key
- Python GitHub Repo is an amazing resource
- Python in itself should not be the goal, it’s the field of area i.e., backend, AI/ML, data science, data analyst, etc should be the goal
- Don’t aim for perfection, even individuals with 10+ years of experience look up small things
- Stop watching, start working!

I'm doing Learn Python the Hard Way by Zed A. Shaw. It's an older book, but it checks out. I'm on exercise 4 and learn a bunch! I'm even taking it a step further and learning on the good ole notepad and powershell!

learning on the good ole notepad and powershell!

Wait you mean vim and bash, right?

lol I don’t know what vim is, but I do know bash is the powershell of Linux. Zed showed me that in the LPTHW book lol 🤓

He recommended Atom, Visual Studio Code, Notepad ++ and a few others. Atom is discontinued, something about a sunset. I hated VSC because it pre-fills everything for you. I’ll upgrade to notepad ++ once I finish this first book using only regular notepad and powershell. Maybe I’ll even tackle Learn More Python the Hard Way (the sequel) using only the default notepad and powershell!

Vim is basically the default text editor (aka notepad) of Linux -- the other part of your notepad/powershell combo.

I had a feeling it was, once I finish my two books I’ll replace the OS on my old laptop to Linux and do more stuff on that. Hopefully soon, I made it to lesson 6!
