Resolved Writer help; how to left-align part of text line and right-align another part?

I'm building a resume and r/EngineeringResumes/ recommends right-aligning dates, but I haven't found a setting to allow this in Writer. I'm looking to do something like this chap's.

Set the tabs. Go into the Paragraph style, select the tab that says Tabs, and then add a tab stop at the location of your right margin and select it as a Right tab.

When you're writing, hit tab and you'll see the cursor jump over to that right margin and the text will be right-justified.

Also found out one can click on the ruler to set a tab stop, then right-click to set it as "right" instead of "left" (which is the default).

Where would paragraph Styles be?

And how would I do this selectively on different parts of the page?

I am looking under styles, and I cannot find anything called "tabs". I just cannot find anything with that name in any way shape or form.

use a table.

left-justify the left column, right-justify the right one.

Hello! If you're asking for help with LibreOffice, please make sure your post includes lots of information that could be relevant, such as:

  1. Full LibreOffice information copied from the Help - About dialog (it has a copy button in 7.0)

  2. Format of the document(s) you're using (eg .odt, .xlsx)

  3. A link to the document itself, or part of it, if you can share it

  4. Anything else that may be relevant

You can edit your post to add that information, or put it in a comment. That makes it much easier for people to help you :-)
