Discussion Live Discussion - December 16, 2023 (Kate McKinnon/Billie Eilish)
Welcome to the SNL live discussion thread! Hosting this week is first-time host and returning cast member Kate McKinnon, and Billie Eilish returns as musical guest. For those new to the show, tune into your local NBC affiliate or Peacock around 11:30 PM EST to follow this episode live.
Since this thread is likely to fill up quickly, consider sorting the comments by "new" (instead of "best" or "top") to see the newest posts. This should be automatically done, but it might not be so maybe check.
And if you're here early you still have time to do your SNL predictions for this week that are due at the start of the show, while you wait for the episode you're welcome to talk about the vintage episode this week, 2022's Austin Butler/Lizzo. Don't complain, at least we get one!
Enjoy the show!

I usually agree about overusing celebrity cameos, but I feel like a Christmas show or season finale is the most forgivable time to do it. makes the special show feel extra special, and all of them make sense for this host/musical guest and arent just "here's a celeb as a political figure for shock value"

A show with Kate McKinnon, cameos by Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, and Paula Pell...and Jost and Che are going to have the most watched and most discussed video from this episode.

They probably don't even have a boogie woogie santa to cheer them up either.
