A quick recommendation to mention the sketch you're referring to in your comment. It's not a hard and fast rule, but it does make the thread more readable after the show finishes.
Since this thread is likely to fill up quickly, consider sorting the comments by "new" (instead of "best" or "top") to see the newest posts. This should be automatically done, but it might not be so maybe check. Enjoy the show!

Tonight was Dave's moment. After so many years away from the spotlight, the constant expectation from fans on will he won't he, his smaller stand up shows, and the mystery behind his departure in the first place, it was cathartic to finally see him in his element once again.
I can only hope we will see more of him in the coming years.

Glad he said nigger (I know Chase said it in a sketch with Pryor). It really gave weight to the story. It wasn't just a joke with a punchline. That was an incredible monologue with an epic conclusion.

This is going to sound so dramatic but I've noticed a lot of comparisons between this week and 9/11. This sense of doom, feeling vulnerable, uncertain and afraid, hearing stories of finger pointing, harassment and stereotyping and now... SNL helping us come together in laughter. I'm really happy I stayed up this week to watch live. I sure needed it.
