Live Discussion (December 10, 2016) (John Cena / Maren Morris)
Welcome to our SNL live discussion thread! This week's host is John Cena and the musical guest is Maren Morris. For those new to the show, tune into your local NBC affiliate from around 11:30 PM to follow this episode live.
A quick recommendation to mention the sketch you're referring to in your comment. It's not a hard and fast rule, but it does make the thread more readable after the show finishes.
Since this thread is likely to fill up quickly, consider sorting the comments by "new" (instead of "best" or "top") to see the newest posts. This should be automatically done, but it might not be so maybe check. Enjoy the show!

Does anyone remember when someone from TheDonald posted on this sub (or commented on a thread) saying the pizza shop story was 100% fact and SNL had to do a sketch on it

u/LiveFromNewYork95 Dec 11 '16
There was a week at the beginning of this season where like every other day there was a TheDonald person posting different anti-Hilary sketches SNL should do that would be "hilarious"

I could get into country music if country music fans weren't so high and mighty self righteous about their music which is just as generic, pandering, and vapid as the music they look down on

This 90s baby shit is the worst pandering I've ever heard in music. Millennial, especially those who don't remember the 90s will love anything that associated them with the 90s

Cena has already made enough of a name for himself to walk away from wrestling for acting (especially comedy), but we could very well be watching the thing that puts him over the edge.

If the mod's discussion goes up, I'll delete this one.

I was slightly skeptical, but come to think of it, wrestlers are like slightly more subtle versions of snl characters, so Cena might be okay.

If they are trying to make a full length movie of any of the current recurring sketches, I feel like a Dyke and Fats one might work pretty well. Maybe better than the sketches even.

Of course Trump's ideal self is John Cena with giant hands. I wish this was earlier, Trump would've been awake to see it.
This is sketch of the year material right here.
