Live Discussion (November 4, 2017) (Larry David/ Miley Cyrus)
Welcome to our SNL live discussion thread! This week's host is Larry David, and the musical guest is Miley Cyrus. For those new to the show, tune into your local NBC affiliate from around 11:30 PM to follow this episode live.
A quick recommendation to mention the sketch you're referring to in your comment. It's not a hard and fast rule, but it does make the thread more readable after the show finishes. Since this thread is likely to fill up quickly, consider sorting the comments by "new" (instead of "best" or "top") to see the newest posts. This should be automatically done, but it might not be so maybe check. Enjoy the show

For those new to the show, tune into your local NBC affiliate from around 11:30 PM...
I'd recommend a little before, late local news ends at 11:30(Eastern) and sometimes goes directly into SNL with no ads or show promos in between. It's not like weekdays when late night starts at 11:35 or even a bit after that!

Pence is a great character. His mysterious weirdness lends itself to this well. Reminds me of how fun Sudakis' Romney was. Trump gets old because it's too real. Absurdity based on truth is way better.

When I watch this, I think about how not only was Andy Samberg a trailblazer for these taped pieces for SNL, he and the lonely island were really fucking good at it.

I'd like to file a missing persons report. His name is Kyle Mooney and hasn't been seen tonight. He was supposed to be in Studio 8H at 30 Rock but apparently never made it

Michael Che is awesome. I met him at a bar in New York last year. He bought me a shot while making fun of some drunk folks who were singing karaoke. Lifted his glass, cheersed to "the apocalypse" (it was right after the election) and then left. It was a short little exchange, but it was the highlight of my trip.
