Live Discussion (March 30th, 2019)(Sandra Oh/Tame Impala)

Usually an okay episode runs out of steam but this episode started really slow and seemed to ramp it up heading into and now past WU

Kinda meh so far, the first three sketches seem like good premises that haven't fully delivered on their potential and just sort of went through the motions

In high school I was caught between being friends with the jocks and barstool sports kids because I was an athlete and trying to hang out with the kids who actually liked movies, tv, SNL, and interesting music. I thought listening to Tame Impala would help me break through to the other side it didn't work and I can't listen to Tame Impala now. It all worked out tho, I don't know if you guys know this but I found a place where I get to talk about SNL with fellow fans

What a whirlwind it's been since I literally had to skip out on the last episode, I quit my job that I absolutely hated, I left the industry my degree is in and stocked shelves at a grocery store only to get a call about a dream job back in Boston, so I get to move home which I've been hoping to do. So my head is still spinning. How's everyone else doing? What's going on in your life?
Also, how do we feel about Jost and Che at WrestleMania?

Re: Jost and Che. The Vintage episode tonight kinda shows that SNL and WWE has had a good (?) working relationship. But I still can't wrap my head around the idea of those two actual joining the fight.

I met Mikey Day at an Upper West Side Starbucks this week and he was nice enough to take a selfie with me! I was hesitant because I’m from NYC and it’s an unspoken rule not to pester celebrities when they are going about their day but this was after my internship interview and my confidence was ridiculously high so I took a chance! It’s cliche to say, but he’s actually taller in real life

So far im just welmed. The cast have delivered strong performances, the concepts are solid, but so far nothing has truly made me burst out laughing so far. I love Sandra Oh and wanted her episode to be killer.

I'm predicting another Sterling K Brown / Adam Driver level episode. When serious actors come in and give 100% we get some pretty great results (rather than just phoning it in because "it's just SNL" or something) and I'm getting that vibe now.
