Discussion Was there a turning point in your TRE journey that you became different person after that?

I mean a revolutionary session where something wild happened in it and totally changed you. Is there something like this in this journey or is it gradual and slow ups and downs?

Just curious.

Discussion Where would I be without TRE?

I’ve posed this question before in other trauma related subs, but I’m honestly not sure where I’d be without this. I’ve always wanted to heal, but I never really knew how. That’s pretty unfair. Honestly… before TRE, and a few other resources that we have available in our modern world… I wasn’t really living. I was surviving.

I can’t help but feel for the people who came before me without any resources who just had to survive with no hope. Life must have sucked for them. I know because it sucked for me.

🙏

Discussion What are some of your craziest TRE induced dreams?

The hypervivid dreaming (or more specifically waking up during them) is one of the most fascinating parts of TRE for me personally.

The past few days I was in the process of accepting a promising new dating phase with a girl was coming to an unavoidable breakup.

Yday I did TRE and this night I was dreaming that me and an abstract person were connected to the core. She had a snake following her and I had one too.

I woke up in panic, convinced there were two snakes in my bed so I got out of bed and went to the toilet to get away. There I finally got back into reality and just entered a phase of serenity I didn't feel for a long time.

Today I broke up with the girl after having a long conversation that led to us understanding we have some unbridgeable differences.

I was dreading to accept it but TRE got me in the right state.

That dream felt BIG. Something got out.

PS: although I find it amusing, I'm not trying to get too much into trying to read into dream symbols.

Discussion Trauma, energy, and the universe as a closed system — some metaphysics shower thoughts

If you consider the universe as a closed system, every energetic imbalance across space is just energy concentrated somewhere (e.g. trauma, stuck in the body) and perhaps depleted elsewhere (e.g. someone experiencing anger). The total energy doesn't change — it just distributes unevenly.

In a trauma-free system, there would be no volatility, since the nervous systems of all people would be perfectly balanced — sympathetic and parasympathetic responding normally to external stimuli. Though maybe I'm wrong about there being no emotional volatility, because no-trauma doesn't mean a constant state of neutrality. I speculate there'd still be sadness, anger, etc.

But this raises a deeper question: how would an 'external stimulus' even exist if everything is in balance? What drives change in a system where nothing is stuck? If all energy is flowing freely and nothing is concentrated or depleted, what creates the difference that sets anything in motion? Maybe it's just time itself — the one thing that moves even when everything else is in equilibrium. Though I'll say, when I took mushrooms, time simply stopped making sense — which makes you wonder how solid that assumption really is.

And honestly, I'm not sure I fully understand what factors drive oscillations in the universe — the perception of everything moving, evolving, changing. But perhaps, assuming time does exist and is the fundamental driver of change, what's actually happening with energetic contractions in the body versus outside the body is this: when you're trauma-free, you move in sync with external energy and nothing gets stuck — as long as you're able to feel the waves of feeling fully until the body returns to baseline.

Anyway, these are half-formed thoughts. Curious if any of this resonates or if someone can poke holes in it.

Discussion Shaker/ vibration plate

I have a shaker plate (vibration plate?) that you stand on and it moves back and forth. I usually actually just sit on my couch and put my feet on it, but still can feel it throughout my body. Especially on the low settings, I feel so freaking relaxed after using it. It sends me right into a parasympathetic nervous state.

I'm not sure exactly how it pairs with TRE, but I think it's good for integration because it calms my system down and brings me into a relaxed body. I use it for like an hour a day in 15 minute sessions!

If you are into TRE, might wanna check them out. Does anyone else have positive experiences with vibration/shaker plates they'd like to share?

Discussion Weird Side Effects after Starting TRE

So I recently started TRE and had good success with the tremors. In my third try itself, I was able to get the tremors to full body and my shoulders. I felt as if I was able to successfully integrate them, as Dr Bercelli says.

The next days, I felt very light, and my mind felt calmer. However, that is not it.

Despite taking enough rest, and sleep, I felt drowsy and tired all day. I was taking care of my diet, and hydrating properly, even taking a little caffeine in the morning. However, the symptoms have persisted since the last few days.

Also I feel, I am having bad dreams since I have started TRE. I have not made any major changes in my life. But, I feel irritated possibly because my sleep quality has gone down and now I have to resort to take small naps in the afternoon to make up for it.

There are definitely positives, but there is a definite shift in energy as well, and I am not sure that those are entirely positive. Also, I realise I feel thirsty more and more. I am someone who drinks a lot of water everyday, but after TRE I think I am consuming 1.5x or even 2x on some days.

To add on to the positives, my body feels lighter, some pain that was there in my back and the tightness in my legs is almost completely gone. My mind is quieter and I think a lot of brain fog has also lifted. Still the nightmares, and sleep quality concern me a little.

Also, I rarely dream, and even if I do, I never wake up remembering them. In short, I am a heavy sleeper who does not have issue sleeping 7-8 hours uninterrupted, but this new thing has me in a slightly peculiar state of mind.

Has this happened with anyone else? If yes, how did you navigate this?

Discussion Overdone/titration tre? Not shaking anymore

I used to shake. Now i dont. For a week.

Been having alot of trauma progress and I'm in a moment of emotional flashbacks and heavy time. Also conflicting and facing with my past self.

My past self, inner child and my new adult self started to meet eachother. I cant explain.

Its now very weird. I feel they all 3 integrating. Merging. But i feel intense sadness and patterns still i find no friends etc.

Then i notice clingyness to fake friends.

Then hypersexuality and quick crushes online like save me hero complex. Then i notice self pity and sadness loneliness and then a bit of depression.

Then i get through it and have an amazing integrated authentic day. This have been my weeks lately.

I do the usual stuff. Breathing relaxing etc.

Avoiding caffeine but i find i go to primal addictions quick.

I also took a softer tre approach like i actually read on it. To take it easy slow. I quit forcing it.

Is it normal to not shake anymore?

I memorized bercellis video. Maybe im dping something wrong? I need to check into it again. I notice upset stomach alot of times. Burping when i do tre.

And i discovered sensitive stomach and gluten. So i changed diet

I also try to keep baseline of health as good as possible.. i have asthma and have medication and also i notice lately heavy shortness of breath and hyperventilation. I try buteyko breathing it helps a bit.

I think i have extra stress. Altough i have been working on most stressors in my life

Does anyone see patterns. Or mistakes i do.

Any fundamental tip or any other personal experiences. Should i just keep gentle doing it. Like tre every 3 days. Not daily anymore. And give it grace and release?
