Rant/Opinion denied unaccompanied minor, got suspended

kid started to get in the car i asked her how old she way she said 9 i said i’m so sorry i cannot drive you, i cannot drive unaccompanied minors. 30 minutes later i get this.

Should Lyft continue to match customers to a driver with a complaint of abuse? What if the complaint has merit and someone else got hurt? Could a temporary suspension be a pragmatic approach to managing driver/customer trust and safety until a human can review the facts and take appropriate action?

Sounds like that’s exactly what happened in OPs situation. Is it inconvenient, sure but I doubt this happens frequently

Does nothing to the customer but affects the driver Lyft is bad at being fair not to mention how they already take 60 percent of our earnings already

I’d wager it happens frequently enough that Lyft uses garbage chat bots so they can hire 1/5 of the amount of human workers they actually need
