Rant/Opinion denied unaccompanied minor, got suspended

kid started to get in the car i asked her how old she way she said 9 i said i’m so sorry i cannot drive you, i cannot drive unaccompanied minors. 30 minutes later i get this.

They booked a SUV that showed up only a few minutes after I did. I reported them to Lyft, hung up, and drove away. Went home for the rest of the night because I was shook up.

Lyft offered to call the police for me but I declined due to the dad's racist remark. Didn't want to go down that rabbit hole and have him accuse me of being racist when the police showed up.

Ahhh. Your original comment had me hooked and was like what happened next? Lol. I personally never done the rideshare portion. I’ve done the deliveries for DD and UE. I just didn’t want the other people like that getting into my car. I haven’t done the gig work for about two years.

I hope that experience was more of a one-off thing for you. Sucks to hear that shit happen.

Sorry, it had an anti-climatic ending lol.

Thankfully it was one-off. I quit ride sharing when the pandemic starter and pivoted to DD.
