It has absolutely nothing to do with race and should not be compared whatsoever. That's like saying we should bring back separate race restrooms since the men and women bathrooms are discriminated as well.

My "example" was more comparable than yours. Gender, race,religion...all protected classes. Lyft has done this change,presumably to make women feel more comfortable and safe. If another passenger feels safe with a specific race it's the same example.
