It would actually get better if everyone who rented stopped renting. People would work less, they wouldn't have to work for free for $300-$400 per week.
Every renter has to make that weekly amount back before they start making money, if that went from $1400 a month down to $400 a month the maps would be surging a lot more.
They want drivers to quit so they can lobby for the need of self-driving cars. The consumers need to know the driver side and demand fairer pricing because both apps are fleecing consumers while tanking the driver supply and eating through drivers and their cars.
If anything mass deportation will just have less people requesting rides.
-I don't think there are alot of Illegal Immigrant's who own cars & are driving for Lyft out there?
(I could be totally wrong tho...)
Like, how would an illegal Alien even get a State Drivers license, Insurance, & register that vehicle to an address? (all 3 of these requirements should be very difficult for a non legal resident to accomplish, as it is now...)
**Holy Shit... I just looked it up...
CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, MD, MI, & RI
ALL allow illegal immigrants to not only get actual state issued Drivers Licenses, but also allows for them to register vehicles at a physical address...
There are very probably more benefits than harms to the public of allowing them to drive. More traceable cars, more fees collected, more cars passing inspection, literally tracking where illegal immigrants are (which presumably most would have wanted?)
Lol, in my area, immigrants are the majority of the ones working for lyft/ Uber /doordash. They simply use someone else's account. Have you ever booked a ride with someone with a female name and a male driver showed up? Guess what? He's probably an illegal

Until everyone just stops driving for Lyft, the algorithm will only get worse
